Hotel Dobra Vila in Bovec

We would come back to this fabulous hotel in a heartbeat. The owner and his staff were very warm, welcoming and very helpful. The decor is quite warm and inviting. Well done!!

I second all of the positive reviews here. Sadly my partner and I were only here for one night. But it’s the sort of hotel you don’t want to review but rather keep to yourself. A truly special place where attention is paid to every detail. We did not catch the name of the manager who was working alone the day we stayed, having given a colleague a day off. He was just extraordinary; manning reception, getting drinks and serving breakfast the next day - all with such grace and hospitality. We intend to go back and spend more time here. An absolute gem.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Dobra Vila for three nights. It is a boutique hotel with 11 rooms. Its architecture and interior design are unique and beautiful. The inside has a retro feel (there is a 1932 motorcycle in a window overlooking the entrance) and modern feel at the same time, with sleek lines and excellent workmanship. Book shelves filled with an eclectic collection of books line the back of hotel entrance room and sitting room, which are back to back and connected by a fireplace. The room numbers are quirky and named after local geologic and perhaps other features. There is a wonderful patio outback overlooking a large, beautifully landscaped yard and the surrounding mountains in Bovec. There is a nice little bar where drinks can be ordered. The breakfast includes full service and a buffet. The buffet is a sumptuous work of art highlighted by floral decorations. The hotel is within walking distance of good restaurants in Bivec with written recommendations by the hotel. It also is about a 30 minute drive from the famous *** Michelin restaurant, Hiša Franko, in Kobarid, Slovenia. (Hiring transport is advised if there is no designated driver). The two managers could have been more friendly or helpful.

We just loved this town, this area, and this hotel. We had a family room which was great - 2 single beds up a small flight of stairs and a big double bed with a sitting area. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet plus you could order fresh cooked eggs. Coffee was also to order. You could sit so nicely on the terrace which was very peaceful. The host and hostess were so friendly and kind. We also enjoyed drinks a couple evenings on the terrace. Simply loved the hotel! Short walk to the village to many restaurants. There is so much to do in the area, I wish we had stayed longer.

We stayed one night at Dobra Vila Bovec and were thoroughly impressed by this beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated with high ceilings and offer stunning views from the balcony—something we wish we had more time to enjoy. Although we arrived late and left in the morning, the warm hospitality of the staff, the elegant ambiance, and the lovely breakfast made our short stay memorable. The checkout is 10:30 a.m. checkout. We would have loved to linger a bit longer to enjoy the views from the balcony on the sun loungers. We will definitely return.

Hotel Dobra Vila Bovec is a peaceful , clean beautiful spot to stay while visiting Bovec. Decorated with a vintage theme this once old telecommunication building has been given a second life . The scenery is amazing , the garden and deck, call you to share with them beauty with a glass of wine . Friendly staff who keep the hotel spotless clean and serve up an amazing breakfast . A sauna on the grounds which will relax your mind and spirt. Do not miss this place on your next visit to Bovec , this is a gem

Art deco hotel with antique furnishings, so don't come here expecting a sleek, contemporary property. Instead this villa has a lot of history and character. The breakfast room and grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with a glass of wine in the afternoons. What really set this place apart was the kindness of the staff, especially the young woman who works at reception. She was incredibly warm and kind and really went above and beyond to help us.

My wife and I enjoyed four nights here. The hotel is decorated smartly and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. All of our numerous questions were cheerfully answered! The backside breakfast/sitting area has great views of mountains and gels so private! We will return!

Staying here was a real treat. The building and decor is all beautifully designed and feels calm and relaxing. Breakfast was great and presented very attractively with fresh flowers. The staff were superb - really friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. We were sad to leave!
