Lovely stay at Riu Vistamar. We loved the effort the made with Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. Food was excellent with plenty of choice. 1.5l bottles of water available as well which made things much easier. Fantastic hotel located in the quieter side of the island. Perfect hotel for getting truly away from it all. Reception staff fantastic and really went over and above to help us celebrate a big birthday. Nice hotel and ok food. There were some problems that altered the experience; - Mold in the bathroom due to no ventilation. The roof was full of mold. The staff suggested to paint the roof with chemicals while I was there with kids and pregnant wife. We were not happy with some aspects of this hotel. The television was reported 3 times as faulty, finally on the last day it worked! Staff are lovely, but the cleaning was very poor indeed. One cleaner actually asked where do you want cleaning? I said everywhere as the room is not clean. She then said and the balcony? my family and i have been here around 10 times and have never been disappointed with these great family apartments.the rooms are in my opinion well serviced ,the balconies are big with beautiful views of the atlantic. the pools are cleaned every day and there are plenty of sunbeds.the food is as good as i have had in a 3 star establishment. the only thing missing now especially for regular customers...

As always a great stay. Nice staff, good breakfast and nice apartment. Only thing this year was the elevator didn’t work during our stay (1 week) not okay, and when asking in the reception the answer was, working on it. We were at first floor, so we could manage but the upper flors had difficulties getting up.

Great amenities. Let down by the fact the lift was out of service the whole time I was there, limiting myself due to my disability making me bound to my room for a lot of the stay which was dissapointing.

Great complex and location BUT funicular out of service for 2 weeks of my stay and despite having 187 steps to the apartment there was no real apology or additional help. Some people with health issues had to move and pay again for alternative accommodation! Was disappointed by response from management

Excellent location spotless hotel with stunning views will definately stay again one of my favourite stays in Puerto Rico.

Beautiful ocean views from all rooms. A private funicular within the hotel for access to the upper floors. Conveniently located for access to the beaches of Amadores and Puerto Rico. Very well-equipped apartments with all necessary utensils. I didn't like the monotonous breakfast. I got a room at the end, right next to the funicular. The noise from it was disturbing at night.

Did not use food or spa, not pushed by staff to use facilities, brocure for spa seems for female's only. This is not a hotel as such but no hotplate to cook on in room, Very cheap decor, ie plastic and wood and everywhere painted same colour light brown. Nothing in it after 9pm

Overall good average experience. Location was very nice and views were good. Breakfast had not lot of variety and was repeated every second day. We tried buffet dinner only once. Food was unfortunately not upto the mark against what we paid. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was regularly cleaned. Gym opens only at 8:30 in the morning and closes at 8:00 PM. Which is not very practical timing...

1st time staying at the Riviera Vista and I can say I wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic spacious clean apartment, great views of the sea. All staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was ever a bother for them. Great pool plenty of sun loungers and kept very clean. I will definitely return to the Riviera Vista again.

Just had a great week here . Location is ok but there is a distance to walk . Reception will also call you a cab and it comes quickly. Staff are the friendliest and loveliest staff ever . No issues We never had any hot water for the first evening and morning but they replaced the tank quickly . The lift broke and that's tricky as steps aren't lit . Small hotel with 38 apartments. We stayed in room 202. This didn't have a jacuzzi on the balcony but we weren't bothered. Room was huge with 2 separate balconies, one for the clothes airer and the other which had the table and loungers on. Lovely view out towards Amadores beach. Everything was amazing, only think what we missed was air condition.

I really enjoyed this property. Checking in was a nightmare though because their front desk is buried in a few buildings. It was impossible to find, and they are very limited in their operating hours. Once I found it though, and found my key, the rest of the property was pleasant.
