Hotel Boutique Can Sastre in Ciutadella

The Can Sastre is a total winner. Charming, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Great breakfast and the innkeepers couldn’t have been more helpful. Only issue was a bit of outside street noise on a Saturday night. But it was all a positive vibe!

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Ciutadella - perfect spot for exploring the beautiful city. Friendly welcome and lovely comfortable room. Amazing breakfast! Will definitely be back.

Had the most perfect stay at this hotel!
The staff were all really friendly and attentive, even greeting us on arrival with ice creams and a fan.
We stayed in the suite which I would highly recommend. It was spotless, had plenty of storage, fantastic air-con, and a beautiful outside space.
The hotel is in a great location, with so many restaurants and shops within walking distance.
The breakfast was delightful, with a great selection of high quality food available.
The entire hotel is decorated beautifully, with plenty of places to sit and relax.
We would 100% return and stay here!

This is a delightful hotel in the centre of Ciutadella. It is a converted townhouse in the old centre very close to the cathedral and main sights. Our room was very comfortable (double glazing helpful as church bells ring every hour!). Breakfast was plentiful and good with many choices. Also staff were very welcoming and helpful (with car parking and restaurant recommendations)

Pros:
- Location is amazing, very central but still quiet.
- Friendly welcome by the staff.
- Honesty bar was a cool feature.
- Very clean throughout.
- Staff made us breakfasts to take away as we were leaving early to explore / catch a flight.

Cons:
- Our room was in the loft with low ceilings and felt quite claustrophobic. The window also looks out onto a white wall, feels quite closed in.
- For the level of hotel, we would expect the bottled water in the room to be replaced daily.
- Reception is left unmanned quite often - if you need anything early or late, it’s a little annoying. For example, we asked for an ironing board through WhatsApp before 6pm and didn’t get a response until the morning (they were very apologetic but feels like you are left on your own).
- Frustrating breakfast booking system is very rigid for the size of the hotel - three allocated times, you can’t just turn up.

Hotel Boutique Can Sastre was a genuine treat after we had stayed in many (lovely) larger places in different parts of Spain. It is truly what you hope for in a boutique hotel -- unique art, decor with stories (several items related to the old pasteleria), and, of course, the personal attention of the small, dedicated staff. Breakfast was the perfect balance of healthy and delicious. Our room was fresh and beautifully appointed. But the best part was the sense of history and place that we felt. Location couldn't have been better for exploring the Old Ciutadella.

The Can Sastre was such a relaxing place to stay. The rooms and lounges were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive and go out of their way to ensure your satisfaction. The front door is in the center of the historic district providing quick access to sights, museums, shops and restaurants. There is an honor bar that makes drinks available any time. Try it - I am confident you will enjoy your stay.

Lovely boutique hotel (only 12 rooms) in an amazing location. We had an problem and the staff were brilliant at solving it. They have a what's app method for communicating with you from the moment you book onwards. It's a beautiful hotel and we loved everything about and will be sure to return.
