For those on a road trip - car park is good. Entrance has a slightly high curb that needs careful approach in any low car, but was OK in our 911. Even as the world's fussiest parker I found a spot that meant I could sleep at night.
Considering the price we paid and generally quite upscale feel to the hotel, it is an odd decision not to put coffee in the rooms. I asked at the desk and was told only tea in the rooms. Coffee is only available in the lobby from 8am and costs a couple of euros. Very odd and we felt a bit jipped by it.
The only issue is the quality of the staff services. We were not treated nice at breakfast nor by the hotel receptionist.
Unfortunately, we encountered bed bugs in our room, which was quite distressing. The staff handled the situation excellently—professional, responsive, and empathetic. Despite this, we chose to leave after the first night.
I hope the management addresses this issue promptly. Bed bugs are a significant problem, and resolving this will help maintain the hotel’s otherwise high standards.
Overall, we recommend this hotel but urge them to take swift and thorough action to prevent future issues.
P.S. Google Maps walking directions from the bus station had us walk up 2 hills unnecessarily and had us end up on the wrong side of the railroad tracks (was Google expecting us to leap onto the roof?) so just be careful of that 😂.
