I arrived late for my meeting downtown.... The guy at reception told me to go and he would arrange my room for my return. I arrived back late at night and everything was ready... The next morning I met a third person at the reception and how nice and welcoming they all were... Rooms are tidy and comfy... 10 minutes walk from downtown. I'll be back and big thanks to everyone working at reception. Best costumer service possible

01.01.2026, wanted to book a sleepover on my returning journey from Portugal to Germany, just sleep, breakfast and go. Sadly misclicked the day, tried to contact the hotel right after confirmation to postpone one day, they said they were full, tried to request a cancelation due to a mistake booking, they just waited to the end of the afternoon to refuse it refereeing to hotel cancelation policies, they kept the money for the stay and the breakfast. Not even a partial refund, that's just bad customer service and greed, already been there once, would probably be there again but I guess free money tastes better than happy returning customers.

Basic, clean, simple and good location. A little frustrating that we could not control the room temperature in the room and when I asked at check out they said ohhh...we control it here & the ceiling fan in simply decorative. Helpful information to post in the room or communicate at check-in.

Room was clean & modest. Great location and tons of parking.

It’s not fair to take my money with out nothing

My room was thinly soundproof. You could easily hear what was going on in the next room. Furthermore, the windows of the room overlooked the street, which was very busy. It was difficult to fall asleep. The furniture in the room was very shabby and scratched. One fan blade was broken. Some of the blinds on the window were of poor quality. You had to tape them to the left and right sides of the window to prevent the sun from blazing into the room in the morning. The hairdryer holder in the bathroom was not secured. Some of the towel rails were rusty.

The breakfast buffet was extensive, but there were problems with the hot drinks. "Hot" water for tea reached a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius, and the coffee machine didn't always do what it was supposed to. Connections to the city center were only by bus and taxi. Regarding my experience I unfortunately cannot recommend the hotel.

We originally booked Monte Ulia for 2 nights, but we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it for an extra night! The hotel is in a great location—about a 20–25 minute walk to the Gros area of San Sebastián, and if you want to go further into town, there are several buses that get you there in just 10–15 minutes.
A big highlight of our stay was the service. Jon, one of the receptionists (and the one we saw the most), was absolutely amazing. He went out of his way to accommodate us when we wanted to stay an extra night, helping us find another room without any hassle. He also gave us fantastic recommendations for where to go for pintxos, drinks, and even the best spots in town to watch the fireworks.
Overall, Monte Ulia was a perfect base for exploring San Sebastián. Comfortable stay, great location, and outstanding service—especially thanks to Jon! Highly recommend.

Wonderful weekend for two with two dogs.

The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything you needed (fridge and slippers). Large terrace. This was our second stay, and we'll be back.
