Very safe and very close to the town centre

Friendly staff, good location (8 minutes walk to town), great breakfast choice, good bedroom, does the business

The only negative was that we could hear all the noise from the hallway..the main door had a huge gaps. The personal is very nice, helpful, speaking English, and they also did have gluten free sweet options on the breakfast buffet and lactose free milk what was great! There is a coffee bar with some food options inside.

Great location inside the old town. Basic but clean rooms. Very comfortable bed pillows. A good variety for breakfast. The roof top terrace is lovely ro visit for an evening meal and/or drinks. Friendly service.

Rooms and decorations are a bit tired for a 4* hotel. However the service is excellent and very friendly.

Came for the Roman walls, stayed for the rooftop views and breakfast that made me question my life choices—why haven’t I been here every day? Staff friendlier than my own family. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys comfort, history, and a good laugh at how spoiled they’ve become.

This is rated as a 4 star hotel. 2 main points at issue. 1) There is one entry point in to the hotel with a series of steps to reception. There is no ramp and certainly there was no one to assist me with my suitcase. There is a disability mover at the entrance but in 2024 but no one was there and the vast majority of people can manage suitcases/ prams, wheelchairs, using a well designed ramp. I...

The chef cook very good, food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. Hotel and rooms seemed little old fashion but clean. The pool is outside of hotel area so you need slippers (like a rule) if you want to use it. And ask for towels in the reception. For me was kind of surprise and I was asked to go and buy a pair if I wanna use this amenities. Next to the pool, you can enjoy the sun on the grass...

On the back of some challenging days on Camino Primitivo our stay at this place was delightful. Very clean, spacious, elegant and very well located next to the wall. Very good service, nothing was a problem. Great breakfast and cafe/bar Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed here a year ago (visiting from Canada) for two nights and we loved our experience. The hotel had a classic decor but all the functionality we required. We had breakfast one morning and it was an incredible spread - various meats, cheeses, fruits, cakes and more - we felt very lucky! The location is excellent. We were happy to be able to reserve a room at short notice but didn't realize what a truly wonderful hotel the Monumento Pazo de Orbán e Sangro is until we arrived. Stayed one night as part of the Camino. The hotel is just outside the old city walls, and you can easily walk to the old town. The hotel is quite new and has nice, clean rooms - though not very large. The staff is friendly and helpful, and all speak some English. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choices and freshly brewed coffee. Also good non gluten options.

This was a nice hotel for us to stay during our Camino. It is located just outside the walls of the central city area of Lugo. The rooms are quiet and well apportioned. Nice size bathroom. Very good breakfast with many choices. Excellent stay for anyone to indulge a little while on the Camino

Clean and comfortable hotel close to the centre of Lugo

Budget hotel but nice and clean. You can choose to park in the garage for €6 or there’s some outdoor parking available if you’re lucky. The rooms were a bit cold because the apartment is tiled, however, there is a radiator that you can turn on and off. The kitchenette is perfect if you want to cook something, with a mini fridge too. Very large room with all kitchen equipment. Kind staff and close to old city and Roman wall. I will come back with my family.

This honest-to-goodness hotel is clean , tidy and great value. The breakfast is superb. Staff in all areas were great and English was spoken well. It's a short walk to town. Lugo itself is a bit of a let-down. Although it boasts a complete Roman wall to walk round, the buildings both inside and out are unsympathetically at odds with the historic location.

Good location, dificult to park, but the hotel has private parking. Good rooms with much space.

Very very good, you can see the professionalism, both in the service and in the food. Very rich dishes, abundant and with a perfect presentation. To finish off the icing the very appropriate prices. The place is very well decorated and spacious. Thanks to all the staff for showing that things can be done very well and also with a good face. I would go back without thinking twice. 100% recommended

Perfect location just outside city wall near cathedral. Very friendly, helpful staff. We took advantage of their washing service. Room was basic but comfortable. Nice old fashioned feel to place. We stayed 2 nights on the Primitivo and would absolutely recommend it as a stopping point. Very good value for money.

Excellent parking, careful construction in the details of a traditional house, clean, chestnut-style furniture, excellent carpentry, well-appointed lounges and bar. Improvable attention, very dry, it will be the fatigue of the staff but we consider that we all need to be well attended.

Beautiful place, luxury decoration and excellent service, we will return.
