Bull Astoria in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Dated and in need of modernising and a bit of a refurb but to be perfectly honest, there isn't much else I could complain about! Had a good stay at the Bull, would recommend and would consider stopping there again if the opportunity arose. Positives: Bedroom - aircon, plenty of room and cupboard space, comfy bed, clean, towels changed daily Breakfast was alright to be fair - had plenty of food, drink, cereal options, staff were helpful. Reception staff were helpful and friendly, Young lad at reception was friendly and polite when we arrived, checked us in earlier and allowed us to keep our cases in a spare room until we were able to check in to our rooms after they have been cleaned, a chap in the evening was super helpful with getting my phone charge up (some issues with my travel plug/cable). Location is ideal, not far from the front, Supermarket just at the end of the road, nice walk. The pool, the gym facilities Generally clean - didn't notice any issues personally. Vending machine. Spacious reception. Negatives: Outdated décor, its probably in need of a major refurb to bring it up to modern standards and spec to make it nice and in needs of a bit more lighting in the hallways. Toilet/Shower design in my room was a bit awkward - that needs changing for sure, very narrow stepping in and out. Layout of the kitchen tables at breakfast nearly caused me an accident at the steps bit - not sure it needed a table there, have to be careful where walking.

We seen a lot of not very good reviews for the hotel but we found it very good, yes it’s dated but the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. For a 3* hotel that central with a heated pool and gym with good equipment you will be more than happy. The staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast is ok, I personally didn’t like the coffee but the tea bags are ok. The hotel is in a great location for the beach and supermarkets right next door, we would have no problem booking this hotel again

Stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious. I agree with others that we missed having a fridge in room but other than that the room was well kept. Towels changed daily. Breakfast was very good. Great selection of food and kept warm. My only niggle was the younger staff in the restaurant were quite rude. Did not like being asked to replenish items. A big shout out to the young man on reception (sorry didn’t catch his name). He was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived and couldn’t do enough to help us find nice restaurants, bus routes and taxis. Would definitely recommend this hotel for location five minutes walk to beach and ten minute walk in to centre of town. Lots of supermarkets, shops, cafes restaurants roundabout Great relaxing break away just pity sun didn’t appear

Is a good hotel, between 3 and 4, I would say. The staff very helpful, kind! Good variety of food, cleanliness is ok, I missed not to have a fridge or a kettle, but they have a coffee station, gym, swimming pool, wifi was good. And the location is fantastic!

May 2025 - stayed 9 nights bed and breakfast - although busy - a school party was staying here - no issues - staff attentive and organised - breakfast busy about 8am - staff always having to "fix" juice and coffee machines - tables sometimes needed attention re clearing - room was booked for a double but we got 3 single beds - gave us more room - hotel had responded to my pre visit requests - room towels changed daily - happy!!

Booked last minute and this was the perfect hotel for a 4 night stay, we wish we were there for longer. The hotel is in a perfect location with everything you need around, the supermarket is very close and has good prices too. The beach is very close and lots of places to eat. The rooftop at the hotel was lovely, the cocktails were very nice. The pool felt so nice and warm on a windy day, and the gym is very big and clean and you can workout with a lovely view. The rooms were very clean and spacious, with good water pressure in the shower and nice and warm. The beds were very comfortable, we slept so well and felt so refreshed when we woke up. The air conditioning was excellent too and made the room nice and cool. All of the staff we spoke to were lovely and so polite and always available to help. We are already looking at going back here as we loved it so much.

The overall value for money is quite good. The breakfast is quite generous, but the lunch and dinner are relatively affordable.
Breakfast is 5 euros, and lunch and dinner are 15 euros. It's recommended to buy them together when booking for a better deal.

The staff were really nice and professional.
Nice breakfast buffet and good service. I recommend.
