Alcaravaneras Hostel in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

We always stay at low budget places. The place is very cheap, so don't expect high quality. Location is excellent, near beach, restaurants, bus, center. Room was cleaned once, we stayed 7 days. Room was nice and clean. Most of the rooms dont have a bathroom/shower, they have a shared bathroom/shower in each floor. We booked a room with our own shower/bathroom. Only negative was that the bathroom didn't have a real door, it has more like foldable screen, so you can hear when your partner is on the toilet.. Sometimes the other quests where being noisy so definately bring your earplugs with you so you can sleep, you can hear sounds from other rooms very easily. There is no AC, only a fan. We went there in November so it wasnt too hot, but I couldnt imagine staying there any other time when it's actually hot without the AC. All in all; if you arent too picky, it's a nice low budget option. If you arent used to low quality hostels, dont pick this one. We were statisfied with it, but we have had a lot better low quality hostels as well. Reception isnt always open, it has weird and very limited opening hours, but we were answered fast via whatsapp. Wifi doesnt work on the 3th floor at all, it seemed to work better on the 2nd floor. Joined kitchen is ok, the 4th floor balcony was nice.
