Ayubowan Guesthouse in Negombo

We were very impressed with the Ayubowan guesthouse. The property was immaculate, well located and had a beautiful garden. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, we arrived late in the evening and they were there to greet us and show us to our rooms. Amazing breakfast which was served on the terrace overlooking the pool. I would highly recommend

A relaxing hassle-free experience. Not that often you get to meet people running businesses with the care and expertise as Ron and Brenda. The guesthouse itself is perfect, with a very nice pool and garden, the room had a very comfortable bed, and still the best part was how well I was treated by the hosts.

Excellent stay. The owners and staff couldn't be more friendly. Imagine an English B&B in a tropical setting, and that's it.
Negombo's beach is forgettable so having a swimming pool in house is a delight.
The rooms are clean by European standards. Cleaned every day.
Many places to sit and enjoy the lobby, swimming pool and garden.
The vicinity sometimes suffers some short powercuts in the evening, from which the wifi reception can struggle to recover.
The breakfast is gorgeous with several possible options.
I recommend staying there when arriving or leaving by the airport. It is a perfect place with very good value for money!

We booked to stay here to relax after the flight from UK. What we got was so much more. A kind and helpful welcome from our hosts, local knowledge, help with onward travel and a great breakfast. Most definitely recommend this well appointed and beautiful location

Spent the weekend at this beautiful guesthouse. Ron and Brenda were exceptional hosts, very kind and helpful throughout. Breakfast served on the terrace every morning, beautifully cooked. Room cleaned daily, fantastic all round. Thanks loads Brenda and Ron we thoroughly enjoyed our time with you.

We could not have wished for a better start to our 23 x day trip around Sri Lanka by staying at this superb establishment. The friendly owners Brenda & Ron made us feel so very welcome & are both a mine of information. It felt like meeting old friends & we enjoyed our chats together. They arranged our transportation from the airport & onwards, both times with great drivers. We stayed in the first floor bedroom which had a wonderful balcony. The room was large, perfectly air conditioned & with the bathroom along the hallway. The honesty box fridge was well stocked & it was great to help ourselves to tea & coffee which was freely available. Breakfast was delicious & the garden & pool fabulous. Our only regret was not booking to stay at the end of our trip. Thank you Brenda & Ron for such a brilliant start to our travels. We will most definitely stay with you on our next visit. We had a fantastic stay at the guesthouse! Brenda and Ron were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The entire place was spotlessly clean, and the local breakfast was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay.

We can fully recommend the Ayubowan Guesthouse, which is run by an English couple! Although we arrived at 2:00 a.m., we received a very warm welcome and were able to move into our room for a small additional charge. The Sri Lankan breakfast is delicious, there is something different to try every morning, as well as real coffee and mixed fruit. The grounds, garden, pool and house are extremely well maintained and lovingly decorated and furnished. Brenda & Ron are incredibly friendly and helpful hosts, as is all the staff. We felt very comfortable, the perfect start to our Sri Lanka trip!
