Simply Peace Hotel in Tangalle

This place truly felt like a little piece of paradise. I stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved it. The private bungalows are beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained, just like the entire property. The pool is stunning, and the small fitness and yoga area is a real bonus. Breakfast was delicious with nothing to complain about.

Out of all the places I stayed in Sri Lanka, this was definitely one of my favorites.

If I had to mention a small downside, I had requested a room away from the common areas due to sleep issues but was placed next to the restaurant. While the place is generally calm, it wasn’t the quietest option. One night, one of the dogs was barking for over an hour during the night, which disturbed my sleep.

Overall, a wonderful place that I would highly recommend.

We stayed two nights at this wonderful hotel and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is great, the service is outstanding, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Sitting by the pool and looking out over the lagoon while watching all the wildlife, especially the birds was truly amazing. Breakfast was also very tasty. We would absolutely recommend this place.

The entire premises is exceptionally well maintained and creates a sense of calm, luxury and attention to detail from the moment you arrive.

The staff truly make this place special! They are incredibly kind, warm and genuinely service-oriented. Nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel welcome and cared for at all times, which elevates the whole experience.

The accommodation itself is very beautiful, spacious and luxurious, with a very high standard of upkeep. All facilities are fantastic: a stunning swimming pool that is perfect for relaxing, a well-equipped gym, and the option to enjoy wonderful massages on site, an absolute recommendation.

Simply Peace lives up to its name in every way. It is the perfect place to unwind, recharge and enjoy comfort at the highest level. I would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay in Sri Lanka.

We stayed at Simply Peace over New Year’s Eve and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.

The hotel offers great value for money, with really lovely staff who made us feel genuinely cared for and special throughout our stay. There’s clear attention to detail across the whole property, which is modern, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed.

Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean, with plenty of storage, a minibar, and a very comfortable bed that ensured great sleep. We also loved having a porch to relax on — a perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

One of the absolute highlights was the animals on the property. The dogs — Rocky, Roxy, and Cola — are clearly well cared for and treated with so much respect, which really added to the warmth of the place. And seeing peacocks wandering around was such a special touch!

The location is quiet and calm, close to nature and away from the bustle, which we really appreciated. You’ll need a cab or tuk tuk to get to the main areas of Hiriketiya or Tangalle, but reception is very helpful with organising transport, and being slightly removed from the crowds is part of what makes the stay so relaxing.

We would definitely come back and would happily recommend Simply Peace to friends and family looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and well-run place to stay.

One of the absolute best stays in Sri Lanka; highly recommended! Beautiful and peaceful property with a fantastic pool overlooking the lagoon and a 5 min walk to the beach. Clean big rooms with mosquito nets and sun beds.

Service from literally every staff at the hotel is amazing! Very quick to address any and all requests, and with a smile. Didn't get the chance to ask names of every staff member, but all of them very kind. A big shoutout to Suresh, the hotel manager.

Massage services from Dara was amazing as well.

PS for dog lovers, there are 3 adorable dogs on the property!

We had a great stay at the Simply Pease for the last 3 days of our adventure in Sri Lanka. The villas are super comfortable, the view to the lagoon is amazing and the staff is really friendly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and peaceful place to chill at a pool.

We had a great time at Simply Peace Hotel. Everything is in the best condition and very clean. Suresh the hotel manager is incredibly helpful and helped us with everything. The breakfast was wonderful and the whole hotel area is very beautiful.

Great hotel, great room, great pool and the family running the place is also great. The sunset view from the pool maybe the most beautiful one i've experienced.
Location is someextend away from the City Center but with tuktuk it's only 10-15 minutes to go a restaurant, market or any place else.
Their breakfast was the best during our 8 days trip Sri Lanka compared to other hotels and also dinner is good of you dont want to go outside of hotel.

We had an absolute wonderful stay at Simply Peace.
The bungalow was big and roomy, and everything about it worked great. We loved the interior and having a fridge.
The surrounding were beautiful and the pool so nice. Best of it all was the level of service we had when we were they. Suresh and hos team helped us in any way possible and worked hard to maintain the place and make sure that we had everything we needed. Suresh helped us by booking a driver from Ella to Simply Peace to a compatible price, booked a scooter for us that was delivered and pick up again at Simply Peace and again a driver when we left.

The wifi at the place is good and the breakfast is the best we had in all of Sri Lanka. We loved both the omelet and smoothie bowl - AND the coffee. Absolutely amazing getaway thanks to all the employees of this place.

Be aware that the place is a little drive away from everything -as the name states too. We loved it though, and didnt mind the 10 min. drive to the restaurants and surf in Hirikteya.

My stay here was absolutely wonderful. The bungalows are luxurious and unique. The property is gorgeous and private, with stunning sunset views of the lagoon. The pool is excellent and staff are even better! They were so attentive and go above and beyond with the food and coffee.
