Selavi Resort Bentota in Bentota

We wanted to get away from the busy life and relax in a safe place and it was the best place. Calm and beautiful. Spent two nights there with my family. The owner and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Helped us with everything we needed. My son wanted to experience a boat ride with fishing and the owner Elion arranged everything for us. Such a wonderful time it was. Great food, great location. Definitely going back again.

Such a beautiful place and amazing experience. A treat to stay and be serviced by such a kind family. Spent a majority of our stay at the Cafe staring at the view (which is serene day and night).

So calm and peaceful, you can dissolve yourself in there.
The resort is located right on the beautiful lake and it drowns in green nature, that is all around. It is a full relaxation for your body and your mind. The rooms and bathrooms are high quality, clean, bed is so comfortable, it has everything you need and even more. You can see that people really care about this place.

But I think most important thing that makes this place so special - are the hosts. Elion and his son helped me when I was in need. My airbnb booking canceled on me when I arrived(they were fully booked) and I needed to quickly find a place to sleep, as it was dark already. Selavi Resort was closed at the moment, but after my call they opened hotel in really short notice(10 minutes). Elion was so kind and helpful! I felt safe, comfortable and cared and this what I needed the most after riding a bike for the whole day and after such an unpleasant situation.

In early morning when the lake is still and sun shines through the trees this place seems like a fairytale. I only regret I didn't stay there longer, but I needed to continue the journey.
I will definitely come back again.

The resort offers the perfect view with the perfect location. With having it's own view of the sea and just 10 minutes away from the bentota beach. The bentota beach near the resort is a long and beautiful one. Also, the resort has to offer amazing rooms, food and hospitality. The host, Peter, is the best. The place has a beautiful restaurant with the amazing view and music facility. Where you can enjoy and party. Felt like home, cared for and safe.

staying in this resort made my whole trip to sri lanka worth it. peter is an amazing person and he took care of our group very well. it is very safe and peaceful place. Beautiful garden and breakfast river side view is all amazing.
