To give 5 Stars to this Hotel is not enough.
The warm welcome that you receive in the first second when you arrive from the owner and the other staff.
The amazing hospitality.
All the staff are very friendly, helpful.
The smiles on their faces all the time.
The variety of the amazing Breakfast.

Plus the location.

I strongly recommend this hotel for who wants to have an amazing holiday.

Excellent restaurant where we had a delicious dinner. Large choice and everything was great from the nice service to the very tasty meal. The wooden dining room inside makes you experience the warmth of an authentic chalet.
Will definitely return there :-).

Had an incredible stay at the Kernen hotel! The owner and entire staff were simply brilliant, from the attentive housekeepers to every member of the team. The service was exceptional, and the location added to the overall charm. Highly recommend this place for a delightful experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were upgraded to a "south" facing room. It was quite roomy, furnished with new-looking pine furniture (desk, small table, 3 chairs). Ceiling lined with pine planks, rustic curtains. Very nice little balcony (table + 2 chairs). Size of the room more than adequate and SPOTLESSLY clean (like everything else in the hotel). Bathroom looked like it was remodelled yesterday (clean!!). The large bed (king size) very comfortable. This side of the hotel very quiet, in spite of facing the rail station. Almost no noise from fellow guests. Possible minuses: No minibar, no coffee maker, but an immense menu for available room service. On the main floor a cozy "lobby"/reading room with soft (extremely low!) sofas - again very quiet and inviting. Every afternoon on the main floor free coffee/tea and cake (homemade). The restaurant is not inexpensive, but the food is exceptional, as is the service (the kitchen serves food continuously from lunch to late night). Make reservations early, since the place fills up fast. The personnel very capable and efficient. Kitchen a bit slow (but not by Swiss standards...). But the wait is worth it. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous: I.e. smoked salmon; cold cuts, a big selection of local cheeses, eggs cooked to order (diy), terriffic breads. Free parking; electric car charging station on premises. The owner Bruno Kernen sees to it that everything runs as it should and is very personable and most helpful (as is the whole staff). In sum: Everything is as described in the official description and ratings. But the reality is much, much better than the theory promises.

Excellent location, right by the train station. Rooms facing the train station are quiet, even with the trains arriving, while rooms facing the main street can be louder from car noise. Rooms are well-appointed, and the balconies (on the train station side) are really nice to have, with fantastic views of the mountains. Internet is reliable and good enough for media streaming. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread is great, and the coffee is really good. The restaurant is also very popular for dinner, but we didn't try it.

Perfect place to have a lunch or dinner after a long hike and taking the train back (less than 30m).

Very sweet stay. We were warmly welcome. Travelled with our big dog and our cat. The room nicely was prepared for them too. Cosy chalet restaurant with tasty food. And a large choice of wine!!
