This is a serene part of the world and the hotel is really a large boutique hotel. Beautifully designed with a nice outside area and in the middle of shorter or longer hikes. This is the classic hotel of the town. Located up on a hill, a short easy walk into the town if you feel like it if not the hotel has many mini vans that will take you down and pick you up. My wife and I had a wonderful four day stay at the Splitzhorn in Saanen to participate in a friend's family wedding. The hotel displays 3 stars but really it could be five! The quality of the rooms, the delicious meals in the hotel restaurant and many hours enjoying the spa made the stay one of the finest. Booked a premium room with mountain view for a 5 nights stay. While our room was on the mountain view side, we had a ground floor room with a view of three adjacent chalets and walkers passing our bedroom window on a wanderweg. The staff was the best one we have come across during all hotel stays. They helped us with everything we needed in and out of the hotel. Stayed there for 1 night with my family of 2 kids (4y & 9y). Overall service was very good: from check-in to lunch & dinner. Food was also excellent. As a couple, we just spent an extended weekend in the Hotel des Alpes (June 22). We have seen many excellent hotels around the world, but this is the very best three star hotels ever. It might not have an indoor pool or a gym, but it is super cosy created by a genius interior designer. Also the rooms were in the same style with everything you need and more than you expect from this class of hotels...

Central location right next to the train station. Great room. Very nice staff.

Good Hotel with comfortable beds. Friendly and attentive staff. Sauna and Vapor is small but good. Breakfast typically like in Switzerland. The restaurant offers nice food and good service indeed.

A stone throw away from the cable car and the city centre, this hotel has a warmth to it. It feels like being in a family and the service is very detailed. There is a front terrace, a breakfast bar and a restaurant all surrounded by the beautiful mountains in Gstaad

Excellent is the word!! Thank you Remate and her team for the wonderful hospitality. Very warm and friendly! Rooms were cosy and spacious food was great and the team welcoming! The hotel is 10 mins walk from station. Next time in Gstaad we know where to stay:)

I love this Hotel! I come here year in and year out mainly to attend the Menuhin Festival of classical music. From the railway station I walk through Gstaad, at a relaxed pace, and then along the Gsteigstrasse to find this hotel at the foot of the hills and mountains, in a wonderful and green setting, by the road. This lovely restaurant is sadly not what it used to be. Shockingly, on a Saturday evening at 7:30 pm there were only 8 guests. The food, for example Bruno's meat skewer, was just so-so, no comparison to the previous owner. The service was rather unmotivated. The Alphorn is gone... what a shame...

just near the most basic ski sloap of Gstaad. nice rooms with a beautiful view of the montains. nice breakfast and restaurant. nice structure for skiing and friendly service. it's dog friendly!
