There was a fridge on a separate floor that was full of free water and coke products. Also Schlussel Rent-A-Room is short walk from train station. Lastly it was priced like a full service hotel!
Downsides. First, if it’s hot outside you are basically screwed. There’s no AC due to age of building plus only 1 window that only partially opens. If you do open it to try to cool down overnight, bring earplugs as there’s an outdoor bar that’s open until 2am with drinkers on the weekend and midnight the rest of the week. Second, the shower is a wreck. The opening to get in (space between wall and glass) is so tight you have to turn sideways as your shoulders won’t fit and if you happen to be heavy, well good luck. On top of that there seems to be no way of keeping the water from shooting out of the shower and onto the wood floor that is already starting to rot in the corner near the shower.
There are so many other good hotels in the area I would skip this one.
Very comfortable beds !
It’s actually a self-service check-in which works although we got the messages a day late ! Fortunately there were staff around the help when we arrived.
