The location is excellent, right outside the train station. However, it was under renovation during my visit, completely covered in scaffolding. Overall, it was still very good; although an old hotel, it has been renovated.

I initially thought the location was very convenient. However, during my two-day stay, my room key or elevator card malfunctioned every single day, forcing me to go to the front desk for a replacement. I also found out that our room was the only one that hadn't been updated with the new system (not sure why they put us in that specific room). The facilities are rather old, showing signs of having been open for many years. The shower and toilet are separate rooms. There's a bathtub, which is a bit inconvenient as you have to climb in and out to shower. The lake view is beautiful, overlooking Lake Lucerne. Parking costs 15 Swiss francs per night.
