We were upgraded to a corner deluxe room, which was incredibly spacious. It had a fridge, but no kettle or minibar. They provided two glass bottles of water. For a European hotel, honestly, there were no downsides.

The hotel's elevator and staircase exude classical European luxury. Upon departure, the staff kindly presented us with exquisite chocolates. Apart from its convenient location, this hotel falls short in terms of amenities. There’s no fridge or air conditioner, which is quite disappointing. While the price is relatively high, they only provide expresso capsules upon check-in and charge 1.5 CHF for each additional one. This seems like a rather petty charge to me.

This was our favorite hotel during our entire tour of Switzerland. The hotel is so cozy and feels very medieval, more so on gloomy foggy days. I initially thought the location was very convenient. However, during my two-day stay, my room key or elevator card malfunctioned every single day, forcing me to go to the front desk for a replacement. I also found out that our room was the only one that hadn't been updated with the new system (not sure why they put us in that specific room).
