The hotel is ideally located and the bed was comfortable but the room was very small, with windows facing a wall with vents. Breakfast had a lot of options but all bread and pastries were dry. It took me a whole hour and several back and forth to manage to get an iron and an ironing table. In short, a great place to just sleep!

Everything about this hotel was fabulous! From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. The staff treated us like family. The room was well equipped, and the location of the hotel is excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Marianne at the front desk was our family's guardian angel. Our child had an accident that required medical care, and Marianne helped arrange it all. She went above-and-beyond, finding a doctor's office / hospital, organizing the transportation, calling ahead, etc. I don't know what we'd have done without Marianne. She is an amazing person. (And the hotel is great too -- the location is perfect, rooms are good, and the lounge on the first floor was a nice touch.)

I stay here often for work and this time I got an upgrade and a nice note with some chocolate - very nice little touch.
The room was perfect, spacious with desk for work and great amenities.

Great location, delicious breakfast, very friendly staff at breakfast, clean hotel, beautiful view from room. Slippers and chocolate were a nice touch.
Rooms were a bit small and were not sound proof by any means. The cost was very high for no amenities or services at the hotel.

Feels like a tourist hostel-hotel. TINY rooms. Service is average to low average. You can hear ppl in the hallways and streets. The guy at the front desk didn't want to be bothered by request for reccomendation and suggestion. A little smile and warmth will go a lot further. Other staff were fine. Great location though.

Hotel Helmhaus was exactly what we wanted in our “home base” during our Christmas visit to Zurich. Location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the Old Town close to all of the city’s highlights. The rooms were spacious and updated with all of the modern amenities. Our favorite part was the exceptional customer service at the lobby (where they make you complimentary hot apple cider with or without schnapps!) and at breakfast. The team gave us lots of restaurant recommendations and directions to places we were headed. The hotel was situated perfectly to use the first rate bus and train system in Zürich. Thank you Hotel Helmhaus team for a job very well done!

We had the perfect stay at Hotel Helmhaus. The team from the front desk, housekeeping and Eugene in the breakfast dining room could not have done more to make our stay the best it could be. A beautiful old building with modern rooms in a central location. The breakfast included was very tasty with the service from Eugene being accompanied with a contagious smile and a genuine desire to please.

We stayed at the Boutique Hotel Helmhaus for 2 nights while visiting the Zurich Christmas Markets. The hotel is perfectly located. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom are nicely updated and very clean and comfortable. There is a common area on the 1st floor where a nice breakfast spread is available to start your day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning when in Zurich. We highly recommend!
