Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne

I visited this restaurant on the 8/8/25 at 10.50. I wanted to order a glass of champagne. I was seated and ignored for 30 minutes. I left without ordering my drink.

Previously, we had booked a lake view room at this hotel, but we were given a moldy, back room. When we complained to the hotel owner, he got very emotional and told us, "You can complain to the booking site. We are just doing what we are told, and we cannot change the room or refund anything." However, the lake view room was still available online that day. And he left hotel and refused to talk to him anymore. I felt that he was the kind of businessperson who only thinks about himself, like the ones we sometimes see.
It was an important part of our life's travel, but I was very disappointed with the owner's response, and the room was smelly, so I rebooked and moved to another hotel. Similar reviews are scattered around, mainly from Asian tourists, so I am not sure if that is the main reason or a coincidence. In any case, if you don't want to fail your trip, I would advise you to avoid this hotel. Sincerely.
