Honestly shiralea was like home away from home. The food was incredible, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are great standard, and their outdoor gym is a vibe. I think they have the ‘best toilets in Thailand’ - super clean and hygienic. I wasn’t even meant to stay there but I moved hotels to go there as the full atmosphere and way that they run the place had me the day I walked in. The best place I’ve stayed in Koh Phangan!

Excellent value for money, really great vibes
Absolutely love this resort! This is the second time I've stayed here - this time bringing my partner for her 30th birthday. The pool is lovely and it's great that it's open late. Having your own little hut is really nice and I loved that there's a hammock on the decking! The staff are lovely, food is lovely, bar is lovely - honestly just a great stay, and INSANELY good value for money.

The only downside is that the room doesn't have a fridge or air con so we did overheat a little - there's only so much a fan can do! There also isn't much in the way of storage like a wardrobe or cupboards - but for what you pay you really can't complain!

Overall pretty ok. Place has a house restaurant with wide range of foods both Thai and ‘western’ (although it’s not overly cheap). Good swimming pool + gym. Close to the beach however not a very nice beach for swimming!! 11 minute walk from the 7eleven but bike rental places very close.

I enjoyed my stay here! Didn't get a chance to test drive the gym as I come to KP for the luxury gyms, but if you're looking to get a barebones workout in, this is a good place to stay. Definitely only stay here if you have a scooter as it's not close to much.

I've been for 2 weeks in the dorm and it was amazing! The location, the people, a swimming pool. Highly recommended. It is just a 4 min walk to the beach. It is nice for the sunset. The staff is so nice they can answer any question about theg island. One of the best places I've stayed at in SEA.

I spent a good 4 days at the shiralea backpackers resort and me and my group agreed that if we didn't have a tight schedule, we would have extended 100%.

Jaden and Seb both absolutely amazing hospitality along with the banter to keep us intrested, they helped set the scene for the group and for my self as well.

The resort is a perfect lifestyle, if you want to go out and party and have a blast or even if you want a healthy laid back relaxed "find yourself" kind of vibe all bang into one resort and one setting.

Definitely be back!!

Pros: excellent location. Cons: when checking out early (at 7am) there was no one at the reception, all attempts to call or get through to them were unsuccessful, had to leave without leaving a deposit. In the end, no one called back to a bunch of missed calls
