Bamboo Bungalows in Koh Phayam

Thai/German owned. Stayed here more than 1 week in one of the big tents and loved everything. Great owner, great stay, great staff, great beach! Nicki is a wonderful, warmhearted, patient and well organised host. His staff is also sweet, attentive and make great food. Location right at beach is amazing for this price and still so quiet at night. I'm also glad about the no smoking policy - there is a lot of smoking elsewhere (incl. cannabis). Good WiFi in restaurant area. Unfortunately right now no WIFI in the tents 3 and 4. Bring enough cash to the Island, as the 2 ATM (at Pier only) are very unreliable. Or use WISE for paying at Friends at the end. Next supermarket nearby (10-15min walking), also many other restaurants close by. Best option to get around is by scooter. Enjoy Koh Phayam and be respectful to locals by wearing clothes when away from beach.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is fresh and delicious. The central location on Long Beach is very good, but the resort could be a bit better maintained. The bungalow is in good condition and quiet, but there was no hammock to relax in, overall a bit expensive for what is offered. Unfortunately, my passport was uploaded to Facebook to be forwarded, which is not acceptable and also not allowed under Thai data protection law.

We had a super 4 people bungalow/house right on the beach. Great view towards the water and listen to the waves at night. Good calm feeling about this place.
The owner is really helpful. They make good coffee and food you can get served to your bungalow or eat a the small restaurant with view towards the water.

What an amazing place...This is how Thailand was 25 years ago. Great huts right on a beautiful beach. Plenty of options for food and drinks along the beach. The food at friends is absolutely fabulous. The Chef makes incredibly tasty food and the Burmese options are a nice addition to the usual menus. Definately one of the best places on this beach.

I loved the Bungalows and the pristine Andaman sea. I met Mitch the Aussie surfer on Aow Yai beach. Mitch sold me some of his special "phayam" ganja. He grows his own weed on the hills of koh phayam. What a great chap! I was blazing the whole time while on the beach. Fantastic experience.

Stopped by for dinner on recommendation from an island local and we were not disappointed.

Great Kao Soi (I didn't know it was a popular Burmese dish?) and a decent pizza for a local restaurant.

Of course the spectacular sunset made everything just that little bit more special but still, we recommend you give them a try if you're on Ao Yai.

Nice staff nice place. But food very good but drinks at a premium..enjoyed my stay.
