The place is beautiful, quiet, and very private (I visited during the rainy season). I loved the wooden balcony area; sitting and chatting with the cool breeze was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent and delicious. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and had separate hot and cold bathroom rooms. However, the pillows had a musty, tired smell.

I really liked the hotel. The hosts were very friendly, and there was a sea view 🌊 and an outdoor gym nearby.

I stayed here for two nights after staying at their sister resort in the other side of the island (Ziggy Stardust). Beautiful bungalow accommodation, we stayed right on the beach, you can see the sea from your bed :) The bungalows are all newly refurbished, and have hot showers (quite rare in Koh Phayam!) The staff were all really nice, we had chilled drinks on arrival and a meet and greet by very cute dogs! If you are looking for somewhere to really relax this has it all.

We are here at JJ Beach Resort for a week and it is truly paradise. The bungalows are simply and functionally equipped and have everything you need. The double bed is very comfortable, bathroom is ok. Only the water pressure when showering could be higher and there is no warm water. We've already stayed three times at Rabbit Bungalow and highly recommend this place. Lek, the owner, is very kind, cares a lot about his guests, is always present and helps you with whatever question/issue. By far the best thing about this very rural, beachside hotel was the restaurant. The evening food was good, probably 4 star; the breakfast ok, but only three star. Bathroom has extremely slippery floor when wet and the water heater almost ineffective. it is very much a rural seaside place so don't expect city hotel standards.

Pom and her family have created a wonderful space for both eating and staying. I stayed with my partner a whole month in one of the bungalows, and ate multiple times at their restaurant. They made our stay so wonderful. Hope to come back some day.

The best beach front restaurant! Our group of 4 ate here multiple times a day during our week on Koh Phayam. The women that work here are so kind and friendly. The menu has many options of Thai and Western food, all of it delicious. Cheap yummy food right on the beach!

Stay here for 6 nights during the high season. Clean (aside from small ants, which are common in these kind of accomodations) and very bright bungalows, with big untinted windows and mosquito nets on them. Owners working there were accomodating and friendly. We hand nice garden view of neat garden with a glimpse to the sea and sunset. Recommended!

These huts are fully bamboo, airy, and minimal. It is our favourite place to stay on the island due to its tranquilness and peaceful vibes. Breakfast is included in the price, and it was around 800baht a night when we visited.

We had a super 4 people bungalow/house right on the beach. Great view towards the water and listen to the waves at night. Good calm feeling about this place. The owner is really helpful. They make good coffee and food you can get served to your bungalow or eat a the small restaurant with view towards the water.

What an amazing place...This is how Thailand was 25 years ago. Great huts right on a beautiful beach. Plenty of options for food and drinks along the beach. The food at friends is absolutely fabulous. The Chef makes incredibly tasty food and the Burmese options are a nice addition to the usual menus. Definately one of the best places on this beach.

Stopped by for dinner on recommendation from an island local and we were not disappointed. Great Kao Soi (I didn't know it was a popular Burmese dish?) and a decent pizza for a local restaurant. Of course the spectacular sunset made everything just that little bit more special but still, we recommend you give them a try if you're on Ao Yai.

Great escape to silence. Simple huts. Lovely owners. Good food. Good service. Kettle and fridge. Yes, the reggae party can be heard. We stayed in cabin 1, so a little further west, which made a difference. Otherwise it is lovely silent, without the usually bad music played 24/7 in many other places. A little more love for a good interior would be appreciated. We will be back.

We rented for two weeks, was overall happy during the stay after covid (2021). I recommend to take ONLY the first or second row at front of the beach because behind is laying all the trash and debris around. Stayed as a solo traveler in January at CEDE and absolutely loved it. It was perfectly situated on Aow Yai Beach and stood out amongst all other places with a more upscale feel without being pretentious. It hits on all points as you don't lose the feeling of being on a more low key island but also can enjoy having a hot shower and not worry about waking up next to an unexpected guest from the outside...

I came here for food and to play pool multiple times while I was on Ko Phayam for a week and I loved the food and service everytime! The family that owns the place has a pool shark little girl that loves cheering people on and is downright hilarious too. Thanks for all the service Kai! Excellent, large, quiet bungalows less than 10 mins walk to the part of Buffalo Bay beach with the beautiful rock arches. It has a restaurant, scooter rental, pool table, wifi and hot water available.

Had a lovely stay for a couple of nights in a comfortably, large, clean bungalow. The owners don't speak perfect English but they do their best to understand, be understood and go out of their way to make everything good. They are not on the beach but are only 150mt around the corner from Buffalo Beach. They've also got a restaurant with a limited but good selection.
