Sarin Guesthouse in Koh Tao Island

I’ve trained over the span of a month at Kaizen and got my Advanced free diving certification. I trained with Lana, Sergey, Akshay and Ilya during the time and I can just warmly recommend it. Besides PADI certification courses we also did fun dives, line and pool training as well as plenty of dry exercises and theory which helped me greatly to stay underwater longer, dive greater distances and go deeper.

The location of the school is convenient, close to both pool and the sea, the room for theory classes is nice and comfortable, it has AC and plenty of useful training equipment educational material. There’s good diving equipment as well that you can borrow. You can see that people you interact with are genuinely interested in helping you to learn and improve. I was taught on an individual basis with a lot of patience and care. Especially an emphasis on all safety related matters is apparent which made me feel comfortable to push my own boundaries and also confident to be able to assist someone else in case of an emergency.
The time at Kaizen made diving so much more interesting and fun to me.

I made my level 1 freediving course there and it was great. Some of the exercises were in the pool close to the center and the other not too far from the shore. The groups are very small, just 2-3 people. I was even alone with the instructor for the first 2 days. So I felt very safe and supported. I can only recommend it :)

I spent with Kaizen more than a year, coming as absolutely zero and becoming as a freediving instructor at the end. I have a lot of doubts during my courses, things that I don't have a talent or anything for this sport. But, what my instructors teach me - the most important is contagious trainings and this small steps that you do to become better! I can highly recommend Kaizen school and wish all newcomers never give up, because you can do it, even 32 meters deep! Big hugs to Platon, Akshay, Lana and Sergei! This people make you work and believe in yourself.

If you’re looking for a freedive school that’s not too commercial and has passionate instructors, this is the place. I first came here 2 months ago for the Level 1 course but couldn’t pass the 10m dive because I had the flu. This time I came back for the retest, and Lana arranged everything perfectly. Big thanks to Ilia and Akshay for making it such a memorable experience. I went from not being able to swim to feeling confident in the ocean.

I just finished my free diving course. I used Kaizen as 2 different people recommended them, they were absolutely superb. Platon was my teacher, he has a lovely, calming demeanor and is just the best teacher, he always put me at easy and his way of teaching really resonated with me. They even worked around my schedule as I couldn’t do 3 days straight in a row. A well organised, thorough school, you cannot go wrong with going by them.

I plan to be back and use them for some fun diving, who knows maybe I’ll even do my advanced course next ☺️

I first visited Koh Tao in February 2022 for 4 days and started my freediving journey with Kaizen Freediving. I had such a great experience that I knew I had to come back. Recently, I spent two more months training with the instructors Lana, Sergey, and Platon, and once again had one of the best experiences in my life.

As someone who had just learned how to swim, I was initially nervous about the prospect of freediving. However, the instructors were incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and helped me overcome all of my equalization problems. With their guidance, I was able to reach new depths and accomplish feats I never thought possible. I was even able to dive to 24m!

Throughout my training, I felt supported by the entire team who provided a great environment for learning and improving my freediving skills. I could also feel safe at their hand and focus only on my progress with all their clear instruction and safety protocols.

Finally, Lana and Sergey know how to create a friendly environment where all students become like a family. Farewell was hard but I know I'm coming back.

I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to learn or improve their freediving skills.

I can't recommend Kaizen Freediving Enough!!!

I spent 3 months in Koh Tao with the sole purpose of freediving
i completed the "Zero to hero" course with instructors Sergei, Lana and Platon, and it was one of the best experiences of my life!

They are excellent teachers, patient, knowledgeable, and they are all about Safety and having fun
They helped me overcome a lot of mental blocks, especially with Static (i was terrified of it)

I had the time of my life in Koh Tao and i can't wait to visit it again!

Absolutely recommend! We did the PADI Freediving Certificate with Lana as our Instructor and that was the biggest highlight of our trip! She is a great intructor and knows exactly how to handle different kinds of people - also a bit stressed ones.😉 She is an awesome person too, so be ready for amazing and funny sessions with her!❤️ And after finishing the Course, she helped us to find and buy the best masks and snorkels for us, which was also very helpful.😊 I really hope I’ll come back some day, this time for Advanced level.

I am a Scuba Diving instructor who decided to complete my Freediver to instructor course with Sergio, Lana & Platon. I can't recommend Kaizen Freediving enough they made everything so easy from start to finish.

It just felt like joining a new family on arrival, Great atmosphere! Sergey runs the instructor course excellently with the course built around students individual needs at their own pace.

Can't wait to begin teaching freediving back home in Ireland and hope to get back for my master in the future (with a wife and kid this time!).
