I booked this place rather spontaneously due to sudden changes of my plans. I was very uncertain because the reviews varied so much from between negative and positive.
In my case, it was very positive. I cant speak for the negative feedbacks but during my stay, the staff was super friendly and the resort itself was fairly good for the price. To be honest, it isnt the greatest resort you will visit. But also it doesnt cost that much. For the money I paid, I honestly couldnt expect more. The room was clean, the bathroom was simple but had everything. Facility with swimming bath and massage lady was great. Above all the restaurant with thai food offered probably the best thai I had in Thailand during 11 days.
Some complained about unfriendly staff, but they were all super nice to us. It is more about cultural difference with language barriers where to some people it can be seen as rude.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a paradies like resort, sunny house isnt the place but at the same time you will have to be ready to pay 200 euros or more per night if you really want to stay at a Place you have always dreamt of. Sunny place definitely offers the best you can get out of the money you pay. If you would like to have good relaxation and comfortable sleep and great food and not get broke financially, sunny house is the place.

We stayed in a bamboo bungalow, it is very clean especially the bathroom area. Very nice shower and toilet with open ventilation. The fan in the room does wonders and has a mosquito net for the critters. Location is prime, with cool bars and beach near by. Loved our stay, wish we could've stayed longer.

We are staying at Sunny House and currently half way through our stay of 9 nights. It's a lovely resort offering meals and swimming pool as well as access to south east end of long beach. Long beach is 3.5km long and while there are intermittent resorts there are also portions of untouched forested land which makes the beach less saturated. Wifi is good throughout the resort over several networks so be sure to check signal strengths if you're by the pool etc.

Very friendly service, excellent and inexpensive food, especially for breakfast. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable and well equipped. The air-conditioning works almost too well. The location is also great, right next to long beach with a seven eleven around the corner. The pool is perfect for the evening and during the day. The scooters we rented were in excellent condition with a full tank of gas for a fair price. Probably one of the best budget hotels in Koh Lanta.
