Smoke smell everywhere.
Not best place , not touristic type …

Stay as a family Inside the room is a bit cramped. Suitable for temporary sleeping. Neutral atmosphere The equipment in the room is not well maintained.

Big bungalow complex, not too far from town. Very pushy to checkout before 11am.

It’s like a little town made up from bungalows. We stayed at a standard room, which has a decent size. The bed and pillows were too firm for our taste though. We didn’t get a good night’s sleep.
There’s a big fridge, cool AC, hot water shower and a little work desk in the room. Water pressure in the shower is not consistent, it’s constantly alternating from high to low pressure – annoying but manageable. Our room did not have an electric kettle.
Hot water and coffee was provided in the morning – but a bit hard to find, look for a gazebo near bungalow B5. At the reception they only provide hot water (no coffee)

Parking seems a bit limited given the number of rooms, but we stayed on a weekday when it was not busy so there was no issue finding a spot. One general problem with Chanthaburi seems to be parking, hotels in the old town don’t have any parking spots, that’s why we picked this hotel on the outskirts.
We paid 600B on Agoda, which is on the high side for what this place offers.

Our biggest damper at this place was how pushy all the staff was to checkout ASAP. Official checkout time is 11am (that’s already early for Thailand). As I started to load some things into the car at 10:30am, I was ‘strongly encouraged’ by 3 different cleaning staff to checkout: “where keycard?” … “checkout now?” … “checkout!”
Maybe it’s a case of lost in translation, but it didn’t sound like a friendly question or suggestion, more like a demand or even an ultimatum… remember, this was at 10:30am, not past 11am, or 12noon. Being pestered like that left a very sour taste of this place. If management is worried that people leave without returning the keycard, then they should simply charge a 100-200B key deposit, like so many other places in Thailand do.
