The ambiance is fantastic, with lots of trees and beautifully landscaped gardens, offering a clear view of the mountains.

Booking through Trip is cheaper than booking directly! Amazing! Clean, towels changed daily, and the bed was spotlessly clean. The view is worth millions! It's so beautiful in the morning with the mist covering it. It's so amazing! Breakfast: Very good, delicious! Staff: Very nice.

The best thing about staying at Malee is the delicious breakfasts that she serves every morning. Choices includes, fruit, yogurt and very tasty bread with jam. I had a really lovely stay at Malee's. Being on my own and not riding a scooter, there was the potential for this to be a bit of an isolating trip to Chaing Dao. But thanks to Malee and Kurt it was the opposite. Kurt really knows his stuff about the area and hiking routes. I told him what sort of level I was looking for and I ended up doing to really great half day hikes. Thoroughly enjoyed them both...

Comfortable and homely stay. Malee is a wonderful host and very helpful. Beautiful gardens and mountain views, delicious home cooked breakfast. We enjoyed our day trip to the waterfall and temple, and had the best chinese gyoza for lunch. Would love to stay again.

At Malee's great bungalow for any true nature lovers. Great sun deck area for mediation or yoga I was surrounded by beautiful mountain views , fresh clean air and hearing the wonderful sounds of animals and creatures in their natural habitat. My bungalow was just perfect. I wouldn't change anything as it has it own unique style. Loved my stay there.

The location is not far away from the market and all other things you need. The small cabins are very well equipped and clean. There are a lot of trees in the area. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very good. Don't miss this place if you want a quiet place but still in the city of Chiang Dao.

Perfect stay! Everything was amazing. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, the surroundings are beautiful, and waking up to birds singing in the morning is a special touch. With only 4 rooms this is a small resort including a small pool. We stayed in room 2 with a spacious balcony, two very good twin beds, television and spacious bath room with good hot shower. If you’re a coffee and matcha lover, this place is definitely worth a visit. They serve excellent drip coffee and offer one of the largest selections of ceremonial-grade matcha in Chiang Dao. P’Joe, the owner, is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more special. It was also lovely meeting Khun Jazz from Koh Samui, who happened to be a guest there. Joe is the man! Such a great guy, excellent English. Helpful for setting up anything you need. Even if u don't stay here, you should at least drop by here for a coffee. It is one of the best I have had in Thailand! His place is really neat. Affordable rooms that are good for 1-2 pax or he has a two bedroom house that could probably hold 4-8pax. Joh - the man, the myth, the legend! What an incredible human being, so welcoming and hospitable. I didn’t actually stay here but I spend all my evenings here hanging by the fire with drinks. Joh also makes world famous coffee. If you’re in Chiang Dao, do yourself a favor and come here!

What an amazing find. The owner Jo is such a kind and helpful man. He helped us find a hiking guide along with renting mountain bikes. We enjoyed our mourning coffee and after dinner drink by the fire. Highly recommend!!!

Hippocampus Chiang Dao A beautifully designed place with a calm, thoughtful atmosphere. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the food is genuinely good, and the location is easy to find yet peaceful. Lovely café in Chiang Dao area, a bit of difficult road from the Main Street to get there but surely worth the visit. Their coffee, pastry, and bakery were really good. Don’t miss their refresher soda, they were absolutely amazing.

Chef’s table gives experiences not just for good food with great taste but tasty food with visual art. Second time, we have been here and we always requested for Chef’s Table. Good that we would not know what to expect but Chef Ryo always creates in new in food and surprised us as always! We plan to come back every year! A unique overnight stay It's a unique experience to sleep in a roundhouse. The beds are wonderful. You shower outside, which is really nice. The hostess, Suzy, is very informative and offers great tips. Breakfast is well-prepared. All in all, a simple place to stay, but a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing view. Rustic but comfortable cabins perched on hill side with amazing views of Doi ChiangDao. Family that runs the place are very kind - though no english. Rooms are not aircon, but fans provided and mosquito netting. Bathroom is also very basic, but western toilet and hot water. Dinner and breakfast was also amazing. It was lovely! It’s set up in the middle of a small community which is cool. Beautiful natural landscape, there’s a river right there. The dorm is nice, no AC but the fans are more than enough. Nice and quiet area. Perfect for relaxing. The owner is super nice and kept me company when I was alone in the bar and we challenged etc other how could play the best song. Love the atmosphere and the jamming corner there you can play instruments and have fun. The room was okay, would like to have a outlet by the bed.

Great location, easy to access from the main road. The atmosphere of the accommodation is lovely and peaceful. Deducting points for a smelly bathroom; it would be great if there were air fresheners available for guests to help with the odor. Other than that, the overall experience was very good.

It was quite dark late at night, the lights weren't on, which was a bit spooky and eerily quiet. The water pressure fluctuated throughout the night, sometimes weak, sometimes strong. The staff, however, were lovely and provided excellent service.

I might be reviewing this a bit late, but I absolutely loved my stay here! The atmosphere was great, with beautiful views of the mountains, villas, and trees – very picturesque overall. The staff were also lovely and friendly, and the room was clean.
