Nice and peaceful environment, it is so special to sleep on a floating house. It is nicely located as it is within walking distance from the lively street of Kanchanaburi. It is very unique to sleep on the sugar cane raft and you get a nice view of the River Kwai. One notice: the walls are very thin so you are only allowed to whisper between 11 pm until 7 am. If your neighbour farts in the other room, you can hear it. Overall review is this fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the river.😊

Nice ocation on the River in Kanchanaburi, rooms are well positioned with beautiful views, practical design and good facilities within the room. Catering facilities are well provided for to meet all your needs.

We recently stayed at Sugarcane Guesthouse 1 and loved it. The location is incredibly convenient - right by the river and within easy walking distance of major attractions, restaurants, and the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place felt peaceful.
Our room was on the raft. It was great to sit by the room and admire the river. There were the party boats that came by. They can be disturbing, but that is something the guesthouse can't control. So if you want complete silence, this is not the place for you.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. It’s a perfect spot for travelers who want comfort, great value, and the ability to explore the town on foot. Highly recommended!

Everything was great, especially the view of the river in the evening)) The walls are very thin, though, so it might not be very comfortable for a light sleeper, but I either didn't have any neighbors, or they were very quiet

This was the only accommodation without air conditioning during my trip to Thailand.
Since the room was floating on the river, the heat wasn't a big deal, but the fan was a little loud.
The shower worked well, so I was able to wash away the dust that had splashed on me through the window of the State Railway of Thailand.

One flaw is the scent from the river. Hot shower is pretty strong. Bed is comfortable. Has an eat in restaurant at the check in counter. Near pubs and some small scales eateries. 7 Eleven is nearby. Walking distance to The Bridge Over River Kwai.
Massage parlors are plentiful on the main road. It is advisable to stay above the river which they do have such single chalets. Overall,merely we stayed one night.

It was less than a 10-minute walk from the station. As soon as I left my room, I saw fish and monitor lizards swimming in the river. Some people were even fishing. I arrived earlier than check-in time, but I was saved by being shown to my room right away. Even in the fan room, the breeze from the window was refreshing, and I slept soundly until morning. The night market was also just a few minutes' walk away. There were also Seven-Eleven and other restaurants around the hotel, which made it convenient.

10 minutes walk away from the train station. Near to bus station, jeath museum, soldiers cemetery River kwai bridge by taxi.. Hotel food is cheap & good. Staff are nice. Very quiet peaceful stay... Nice. We stayed in river boat house.
