My third stay at Baanchompoo - which literally translates to Pink House. This beautiful home stay first housed me and some friends in the family room in 2019. I’ve been back twice in two weeks and booked the Balcony Room. highly recommended if you’re heading to the market for the weekend.

Owners were wonderful and incredibly helpful! Our rental car died and the owner's daughter spent half an hour talking to half a dozen different Avis operatives to make the arrangements for a switch for us. Think about how much of a pain it is to fix that situation in your own country in a language you speak . They were our saviors!

Pool looked good. Grass “lawn” not mowed. Nice room and terrace. Bathroom had a bad “drain”smell which was the only bad thing about the room. A 500  baht deposit was required..no problem though.

The bedroom is spotless, well maintained and the bed comfy with a nice large fridge. It's away from the road and the air con is good too. But.... The bathroom we had stank. It was the smelliest bathroom we've ever had anywhere in our 10 years of cycle touring and we've stayed in hundreds of hotels. Shame really as this would be a 5 star review if they put some smell traps in the drains.

It's located about 1km from Amphawa Market. My Thai friends and my family and I booked three rooms for eight people.
