🏝️ Hotel Review – EnD Adventures

After a six-hour ferry ride from Phuket, stepping into our hotel felt like a reward in itself. We were welcomed by smiling staff — and the resident cats 🐾 — which instantly set a cozy tone.

🛏️ Room & Comfort
The room was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with towels, snacks, and Nestlé coffee packets. The air conditioning kept us cool, the shower ran hot, and there were plenty of blankets and pillows for the three of us.

Laundry arranged through the front desk was returned overnight, fresh and professional.

🚶 Accessibility Note
The stairs leading to the loft are a bit steep, so travelers with mobility concerns should keep this in mind.

Perfectly situated near the pier, with tuk tuk drivers offering friendly service and flat rates across the island.

Overall I liked staying at this hotel. The rooms are basic but perfectly clean and comfortable, however the beds are hard - personally I like this but it might not be for everyone. I’ve had to hold back a few stars however for a few reasons:

1) despite saying on the facilities section of the room on booking.com that there is a safety deposit box, there was not one in the room, and one was only provided to me (taken from a bigger, more expensive room), when I made a fuss;

2) no one at the hotel spoke English. This became a problem at times especially when dealing with an island-wide power cut;

3) there was an island-wide power cut one night which left the hotel totally without power and without water for around 12 hours. At no time did anyone at the hotel try to check on guests to make sure all was well and when I went to reception at around 8.30pm to try and ask about having a generator/battery powered lights or candles and water to flush the toilet etc. no one was available;

4) no backup power facilities - it seems that power cuts are not uncommon - we had a second in fact twelve hours after the first, but this time it lasted only 3 hours. Whilst I appreciate that this is outside of the control of the hotel owners, not having a backup generator or other facilities like torches/candles etc. is really not a good service. I was eventually provided with a battery powered lantern only after I made a fuss about not wanting to be left in the dark for a second light. All other businesses (and hotels) I. The island seem to be better setup for power cuts.

I would stay here again, but I’d love to see some improvements around communication/service and backup facilities as well as ensuring that every room has a safety deposit box.

Overall this place is a great option to stay on the island. The staff were friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. Linen was changed after 2 nights, Fresh fruit and two bottles of water every day was a great touch. Showers had good pressure, and beds were comfy.
The location is very central to all the bars and restaurants, however be warned the local school is directly behind the hotel and they play very loud Thai pop music every morning around 7.15am for up to 30 mins (this is why I've marked the located down.)
We had 3 rooms between us, and one room was missing a safe, another did not have a bean bag.

We absolutely loved our stay here. They finished one new family unit that has a king bed on the main floor and a queen bed & twin bed up in the loft. It’s a beautiful unit, spacious bright and clean. I would say the pictures online don’t do this place enough credit. It is a beautiful place with an incredible flower garden that one of their staff is maintaining every morning. It is quiet and peaceful.

The location is about 5 min walk from the pier but we took a taxi ride for 50baht per person. I love how it’s a one min walk to shops and restaurants. We took a taxi to Charlie beach most nights to watch the sunset and swim. The other beach is max 5 min walk which is super easy to get to.

I think what makes this place is the hospitality and love all their staff has. It is the Thai way and they are so welcoming.

Perfect location near the pier and just off the edge of the village, so near all of the island’s infrastructure. Simple concrete bungalows that are spacious and functional if not particularly pretty. Comfy mattress, quiet effective airco, dependable wifi, hottest shower I’ve had in Thailand, easy to use safe. Great prices on services like laundry and basic clothing alterations.

My only criticism is the lack of storage making it impossible to fully unpack. A chest of drawers or even a few shelves are sorely needed.

The room was lovely and the staff friendly, even though they couldn’t speak much english. The hotel is nice and close to the pier to walk to, don’t get haggled by taxi drivers for the 50m walk at the end of the pier. Close to the centre so you can walk everywhere. You can rent a bike and ride to Garnet beach (which is really the only good thing about the island). There are also quite a few friendly stray dogs around you can feed and play with (the owner probably won’t be happy we fed the strays 👀)

Very clean and very minimal bugs. I chose this room specifically because another review mentioned it was well sealed from bugs and I found this to be true. Spent 3 nights there and maybe saw a couple small ants in bathroom. No bugs at all in bedroom, I was very impressed. After leaving and deciding to try some high end hotels in Koh Lanta I was greeted by cockroaches every time. I should have appreciated the budget friendly Mook Ing Lay more! Cute puppies, fresh fruit every day brought to you, Not far from beach and restaurants. Highly recommend Miss Island restaurant as well!!!

In room is all what you need: Kettle, frigde, comfortable bed, bathroom with shower. Cleaning everyday, new towels and new pillows every 2 days. Really nice Staff, laundry service 60B/1kg, friendly dogs and beatufiul Garden. Great location- near to market, beach, harbor, restaurants.

The place is very nice. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and they have a good location - just 5 minutes from the beach and close to cafes and shops. I will stay there again next time.:) Good value for the island

It looks as family hotel, with smiley staff (but what else you would expect in Thailand :-)) Room was clean, quite spaceful, ideal for two people. Air con worked, not too loud. Location is good, one minute walk from restaurants, information kiosk, markets.
