The garden is overgrown and the outdoor furniture worn and dirty.

Good breakfast
First of all, the hotel itself is simply gorgeous with lovely outdoor area covered in bougainvillea with an ocean view and constant breeze. It was calm and relaxing on the days my partner got sunburnt and couldn't go to the beach, which is mere walking distance from the hotel.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Never too hot. They don't clean your room every day but I personally prefer this. It's not necessary and less wasteful, in my opinion.
Breakfast was available with a different in hot option every day. And the standard veggies, fruits and cheeses served in Turkey. My only complaint was coffee wasn't that great. We never ate at the hotel for other meal. Prices did seem a bit high but that is to be expected at hotel restaurants. Alataçi prices all over were double Istanbul.
Staff was polite and friendly even with our limited Turkish and their limited English. The owner, is an older, quiet gentleman but if you can strike up a conversation with him, you'll find he is a man with a lifetime of experiences, extremely intelligent and a great conversationalist. He was very kind to recommend us restaurants in Çesme and Alataçi center that were delicious and budget friendly. Also gave my partner clippings of aloe from his garden for his sunburn.
I cannot recommend this place enough and we hope to return very soon!
