Es Apartments in Turunc

We stayed about two weeks ın the best room number 6.A great view, comfortable room, even our cat likes there so much. All the guys who work for us they are so kind and friendly, especially to Mr. Fatih l thank so much. I tested a few good restaurants ın Turunç like (Veranda, Fidan) but ES restaurant by far is the best, It's view, dishes quality, servis and the prices are uncomparable. I absolutelly recommend with our hearts. Jack Daniels steak was delicious, salmon oscar even was , my wife liked the mushroom steak a lot. Thank you so much for everything.

The location : Turunc is a small harbour village nestled beneath a large mountain area which brings welcome shade when the sun goes down in the evening. On one side there is the harbour (where Es is located) and over the tiny bridge is the beach front area. There are a couple of small municipal beach areas but all the seafront restaurants have ‘free’ beach areas where you can spend all day for the polite price of at least one drink. We found ourselves there most days and spent very little and were never hassled. The village : Turunc is quiet and much calmer than Icmeler and Marmaris. There are dozens of bars and restaurants. The ones we visited were pleasant, friendly and the food was always very tasty. You’ll struggle to find bad food or service here. Everyone is very friendly. The apartments : ES has 2 apartment blocks on a steep hillside. The lower one houses the restaurant and bar and the higher one has apartments and the pool. There is a lift from the harbour to the first block. There are a series of steps through their well maintained garden areas to the 2nd block. The pool is small but it is in the sunshine all afternoon and we never found it to be busy. Infact most days we were the only ones there. There’s no beach bar but instead you’re left to your own devices to relax and soak away the day. Perfect for relaxing and reading. The restaurant : The ES restaurant isn’t busy but it really should be ! The staff do everything they can to accommodate you and the food that we had there was made with good quality produce and freshly cooked. Their Fillet steak is amazing ! Melts in the mouth. Every day they offer Turkish breakfast, fruits, yoghurts or toast and jams/honeys served with tea or coffee. The restaurant overlooks the harbour and is in a beautiful location. In the evening the bar stays open until around midnight but thankfully they don’t have loud music playing and it’s a nice place to spend some time with a glass of wine (Ask Fatih for Petrol haha). We stayed self catering with BnB and we were never hassled into eating at the restaurant in the evening but when we did dine there we were treated like old friends and had a lovely time. The rooms are nicely decorated with very comfy new beds, TV’s, small kitchenette and also air con and a safe for a small standard fee. The air con is a must. The front apartments have truly amazing views over the harbour. They’re spacious and although they have simple and basic equipment, they are more than adequate. We stayed for 10 days and ate at home 4 of those nights. There is a well stocked Migros supermarket just around the corner so you’ll not be without supplies. There is also a superb bakery in the village. Occasionally, as the water heating is from the solar panels, at busy times we had to wait for enough water for an evening shower but that was no inconvenience at all and only ever a wait of around 10 minutes. The rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding by the lovel

I stayed here for two weeks in May and while I concede it won’t be for everyone, I really enjoyed it.

Pros: The staff are very friendly and interact nicely with the guests without being obtrusive.
The location and views from the restaurant and from the 2 rooms I stayed in were outstanding - probably the best in Turunç.
The food in the restaurant was quite good overall, and reasonably priced, however to be honest I think there was somewhat better food to be had at other restaurants in the village.
The price of the rooms was very competitive (however I need to mention that I stayed in May which is not high season).
There is a pool on the higher level. It looked clean and would be fine for a cooldown, but it wasn’t swimming weather during my stay.

Cons: Unfortunately there was no hot water available in the mornings. At all. Apparently it is solar heated water only, so you need to wait until the afternoon when the solar panels get full sunshine before you’ll get a proper hot shower.
The WiFi is very poor in the rooms, but fine in the restaurant area. I used mobile data instead of WiFi when in my room.
The rooms are VERY tired and dated. Not a huge deal for me but it requires a mention when writing a review of the apartments.
There was the occasional unpleasant smell of ‘drains’. It wasn’t always there so maybe was a function of the wind direction or something like that.
I was fortunate that the apartments weren’t fully occupied while I was there because when there WAS someone in the adjoining room I could hear them through the walls.

Overall, weighing the shortcomings against the price paid I’m glad I chose Es Apartments for my stay in Turunç.

Traveled with partner and parents, we had 2 rooms, there is a lift going up to the restaurant/bar/check in area from the harbour. There are steps up to the apartments but the parents asked if they could come down a level and this was not a problem. Fatih and Mehmet were the perfect hosts and were very pleasant, the other staff were all very polite and helpful. The views from both our balcony’s were nothing short of spectacular. The rooms are basic but they told us that they were in the process of having them updated. The rooms were cleaned everyday with new towels etc. Food from breakfast to an evening meal were all of high standard and very tasty and you can dine with views over Turunc which is beautiful . For the price this is a superb hotel and we will be back in the future.

A fantastic base. Absolutely Stunning views. Basic apartments. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. Very dated and minimum cooking facilities but we managed to make snacks/breakfast/sandwiches. We eat out and try different places when we're on holiday but we chose to eat in 'Es Restaurant' 4 times as the quality and service was fantastic, the kitchen is immaculate and the staff great. The food was fresh and high quality. Standard prices for the area but food is far superior. Pool area was clean with a big enough pool to cool off and attempt some small lengths. An update of the rooms is definitely due and adding a toaster/microwave and maybe some essential utensils like scissors and bottle opener would be a suggestion. There is a lift up to the restaurant but only stairs leading to the rooms. Location is great, with the taxi boats stopping just outside the hotel. Many touristy shops surrounding the area with all bags/clothes etc. We found a nearby supermarket with all essentials, a local bakery and plenty of bars and restaurants. Turunc is a hidden gem that's not ruined by tourists. The beach is stone beach and most restaurants on the front allow free use of their beds if your buying drinks. The beach is only just down from the apartments. We will be visiting again.

Beautiful views of turunc Bay. Cleaned daily rooms and large appartament. Stayed bed and breakfast which is turkish breakfast but happy to make omelette or egg on toast breads and jams teas or coffee, happy with breakfast.. es restaurant we ate here quite a few times food was outstanding 😋 fillet steak is a must! Best we've had in turkey 🇹🇷 Staff couldn't do enough for you fatih and razaman we're amazing! Already booked to come again.

Great hotel with the most amazing thoughtful and kind staff . The views are exceptional. Food is lovely enhanced by top quality service and again the view . Rooms basic but comfortable with good service cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels . We would definitely stay here again .
