Dafne Hotel in Ankara

Nothing as promised, I am very disappointed
Air-conditioning is almost non-existent, customer service very bad, very bad English skills. Wifi not working and no interest to fix or compensate. We complained about the AC and they asked us to wait in the room, until they fix us a new one. Nobody came, after two calls to the reception, nothing. Third time there was different staff and they gave us a new room right away. AC was there also very bad, like from the 1970's? Nice to wake up all sweaty..
Only consierge was nice and breakfast the only thing that was as promised.

During my recent 2-night stay at this hotel, I encountered a mix of positive and disappointing experiences.

🌸 Reception & Staff
The standout highlight of the hotel is the receptionist — warm, welcoming, and truly professional. Her attitude and service were the bright spot during my entire stay and made check-in and general inquiries feel pleasant and accommodating.

❌ Room Comfort & Cleanliness
Unfortunately, the overall quality of the room was below expectations:

Air conditioning did not work, making the rooms uncomfortably hot, especially during the night.

Bedsheets were not properly cleaned, leaving a sense of discomfort and lack of hygiene.

The room condition felt aged and poorly maintained.

📶 Wi-Fi & Connectivity
The Wi-Fi was extremely weak and unreliable, barely usable for even simple tasks. For travelers who rely on stable internet — whether for business or personal use — this is a major downside.

📍 Location
While the hotel may appear central on the map, in reality:

It’s far from key locations and conveniences.

Accessing restaurants, shops, or city centers requires long walks or a taxi ride, which can be frustrating for those hoping to explore on foot.

🍽 Breakfast
The breakfast was decent — not extraordinary, but good enough to start the day with. A variety of local options were available, and it was one of the better aspects of the stay.

⭐️ Final Verdict
While the receptionist made a genuine effort to offer a warm experience, the poor room conditions, non-functional air conditioning, unreliable Wi-Fi, and inconvenient location greatly affected the quality of my stay. With a few important improvements, this hotel could offer much more — but until then, I would only recommend it for short stays or emergencies, not for comfort or convenience

BEWARE, dirty hotel and not well maintained. This place is not sanitary or safe to stay at. Pubic hairs on mattress, dirt and grime everywhere. Everything is broken or old. I paid for four nights and only stayed one, they took my money and would not refund me. They are crooks. Stay away, terrible hotel!
