Ramada by Wyndham Tekirdag in Tekirdag

We stayed 3 nights at Ramada by Wyndham Tekirdağ with expectations of a genuine 5-star experience, and unfortunately the reality was nowhere close.

There was no internet in the rooms, and the Wi-Fi in the lobby was practically unusable. Speed tests at the lobby showed 0.37 Mbps download and 3.53 Mbps upload. I reported the problem several times, yet nothing improved during our entire 3-day stay.

There were no robes in the rooms, and the spa did not provide any either. At one point, the spa even ran out of towels because they were “still being washed.” The spa itself is minimal — a pool, sauna, a cool jacuzzi, hammam room and gym — while most of the space is dedicated only to massage rooms.

When we returned from the spa, the bathroom smelled strongly of cigarette smoke coming through the ventilation. On December 31st we had to keep the balcony open and freeze the room just to get rid of the smell. There was also no drying rack for wet swimwear in the room, and one was not provided even when requested.

Food was consistently below the level you would expect from a hotel that claims five stars. Breakfast and dinner buffets were repetitive and uninspiring. Desserts were especially poor — during three days there was not a single traditional Turkish dessert like baklava.

The New Year’s Eve dinner was shockingly underwhelming: no fresh salads, just a few spreads, a pastry with low-quality sausage served directly from shared trays, chicken with mashed potatoes as the main dish, and a dry red-colored cake for dessert. Calling this a festive celebration would be misleading.

Another serious problem was communication. Most of the staff did not speak English — maybe 1 in 5 people had only beginner-level English — which made resolving issues even harder.

Based on this experience, I would not consider returning, and I could only recommend this hotel to someone whose expectations and price point are closer to a 3-star property, not a 5-star one.

Omg. It has been a while since I stay at such a dumpster. Rooms are in dire need of maintenance. Nothing works. Air-conditioning panel broken, next room panel broken but with lof of force buttons register but temperature regulation non working. After whole night fiddling and sleeping under two blankets at 3am had to set temp at 26deg and at 7am it was finally acceptably warm at 21deg. Shower has either boiling hot or cold water.

We went to Ramada Hotel as a family for a weekend break in November. The pool was closed on Saturday, they said it would be cleaned, then they said it would open on Sunday. There was no change on Sunday either, there was no cleaning or maintenance for 2 days. We chose Ramada because we could use the pool with our children, but we had to leave the hotel without taking advantage of its facilities.

The price you pay for the quality you get is not okay. The guy behind the counter told us that we would get breakfast at our room which seemed weird at first but okay sure we thought. In the end it costed us an extra 1280 liras. He did not bother to tell us even after we asked him twice beforehand on different occasions. The same guy, unfortunately I don’t remember his name, also seemed not trustworthy. He did not gave the amount of Liras he should have when I was exchanging from euros. The screen was showing an exchange rate and he said: “yea.. it’s not updates correctly”. So why was the same amount there still on the screen when I left?

The breakfast we got was mediocre at best but was priced as if we were dining in one of the more luxurious neighbourhoods in Istanbul. We stayed for three nights and the room was very noisy because the balconydoor wouldn’t close properly.

Conluding: there are better locations in Tekirdag for a way better price.

No hot water !!! The hotel is not enough clean. The water in the pools is dirty. The service is poor. Sauna is not working. The breakfast was OK.
I stayed 3 days and is was impossible to take shower.
