Reyhani Kasri - Special Class in Mardin

To be fair, for the endless views of Mesopothamia from the Terrace - the location of this hotel is 5 star. You can stand or sit on the ledge to enjoy the views , but don't expect a chair and/or beverage service.
This hotel's facade is misleading to the wonderful views hidden on the backside. However, the hotel doesn't utilize the wonderful views and facilities well. The breakfast area was very disappointing - again, on the top floor, yet even when the weather was bright and warm, there was no tables to enjoy breakfast outdoors. The quality of the food left something to be desired re: the local goodies that could have been incorporated into the offerings. The basic Turkish breakfast was all there - variety of turkish cheese, tomatoes, olives, fresh herbs, and bread(s). There was also a rich variety of jams and yogurt. So, you would definitely find something to enjoy, just didn't feel like they put much passion into it. The rooms were clean, but just felt outdated. This hotel is worth a visit for the view and location. Service leaves much to be desired. The hotel right across the street may be our choice next time we visit Mardin.
