MARDIN OSMANLI KONAGI in Mardin

I do not recommend this hotel. I booked online and there was an issue with the date, but instead of trying to help, the receptionist spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful manner. I was treated with zero courtesy, and they made no effort to find a solution or even speak politely. This is not how guests should be treated, especially when they have already paid. If you value respectful customer service and basic hospitality, I suggest you look for another hotel.

On recommendation, we booked the hotel for 3 nights and were very impressed with how it looked when we arrived. The interior looked beautiful, very well decorated to a high standard. Sadly the staff let it down. We didn't receive any welcome, the receptionist didn't speak and the person who we assumed was the manager was miserable.
The room was clean but very basic, it smelt of cigarette smoke, there wasn't a bed side light; only one central light with one switch that was by the door so you had to get out of bed if you wanted it switched on or off.
We were told breakfast is served between 8am and 10am but when we went the first morning, nobody was around, the dining room was closed and we had to wait around until 8.20am before it opened. When finally got served our breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised, it was very good.
We were out for the whole day and evening and on returning, we found our room hadn't been serviced and there was little toilet paper.
Of course we complained but nothing was done so we checked out the next day, got a refund and moved over the road to a very good hotel with friendly staff and got impeccable service.
Note: The look of the hotel is deceiving. The reception areas are beautiful but the rooms are very disappointing and certainly not worth the money.
