Royal Residence Resort in Umm Al Quwain City

I checked in today at Royal Residence with my friend and I would like to share my honest feedback about our experience. Unfortunately, it was not pleasant and quite disappointing from the beginning. The main issue was the behavior of the front office staff at reception. The reception staff was very rude and unprofessional. When we arrived for check-in today, there was no proper welcome or greeting. He did not even stand up to receive guests and was just sitting there the whole time. He was talking in a rude and disrespectful way and not communicating properly with us. His attitude made us feel very uncomfortable. We also noticed that the reception staff was sitting there and talking too much instead of focusing on guests. As I am also working in the hospitality industry, I clearly understand the responsibility of front office staff. Reception is the first impression of any hotel, and staff should be polite, attentive, and respectful to every guest. They should know how to handle guests professionally, but unfortunately, this staff member did not show any basic hospitality standards. In addition, room cleanliness and maintenance were also not satisfactory. The AC grill was very dirty and not properly cleaned, which is not acceptable for a hotel. There was also no bath mat provided in the bathroom, which is a basic requirement for guest comfort and safety. Overall, our check-in experience today was very disappointing due to the rude behavior of the reception staff and poor cleanliness standards. I kindly request the hotel management to please take immediate action regarding the front office staff, provide proper training, and improve service and cleanliness. With better professionalism and attention to guest needs, the hotel can provide a much better experience for future guests.
