Had such an Exelent time at this hotel Breakfast was amazing there was a pool gym sauna steam room everything you need at your fingertips so I’m coming back near end off febuary staff were just amazing came with family coming back with Family so nice people come to this hotel so looking forward to coming back

Room was good condition the heating didn't work, breakfast was included but it took over a hour to get a sausage cob and there wasn't much else

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was not made or cleaned. Had to exchange towels myself. Arranged breakfast for 9am next morning but then when I came down it was made for 8am and my wife couldn't eat hers due to meat being put in the sandwich despite it being specified that only egg should be there. A joy to stay with Elena and her team. A cosy property with more of a guest house vibe than a full-service hotel experience - but all the more enjoyable for that. We were moved to a different hotel (Rivers Hotel)with 1 days notice,then upon arrival we were told that the front door was to be locked over night from 12pm to 6 am. This ment 2 of the 3 fire exits were not usable and on top of that on 2 mornings I had to call to get someone to unlock the door (both times between 7.30 and 8.00 AM) for the first 2 days the restaurant was not open for breakfast. I was terrified to use the communal toilet as a man was raving up and down the corridors at night. Despite 6 people complaining, he was not removed by police until early morning. Old dated place. Tv not on wall bracket and just propped up on the dressing table. Bed very hard. I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

The carpet on the stairs was very dirty, giving it a cheap hotel feel. The door lock was a bit damaged, making it look unsafe. The bar downstairs was lively until midnight, so I didn't get a good night's sleep. Overall, a poor stay. Not good value for money.

If you just need somewhere to stay for a night, it's fine. It does its job as a place to stay. However, I don't think I'd want to stay there any longer. The bathroom stank, part of the window sill was missing, the door was hard to lock, and the wifi didn’t work. At least you couldn't hear the noise from the pub.

The Hanson hotel is the perfect location for the university's and the town centre ,rooms could do with a good update ,food and staff were exceptional would advise to make a visit even if it's for a drink and something to eat

The room was in the top floor and felt quiet. It’s very convenient to have the bar and restaurant just downstairs. I didn’t try the food but it was looking nice. The WiFi was good and the facilities in the room were great too with free tea and coffee. The bed could be improved but it was okay for a night. The room has in suite bathroom.

Rooms were clean and comfy, good for the price. Friendly staff at the front desk. Note, there can be a bit of noise from the bar downstairs but that usually goes round 12 so didn't bother me much but if you need an early night might be annoying.

Stayed here on a Saturday evening. As I just needed somewhere to stay over night. All the other well known hotels locally were coming back twice as much in price. So I thought what the hell book this it's loads cheaper. What a correct decision!!! Hotel was brilliant for the money. I booked this hotel for it's closeness to the Metro Shopping Centre and ease of travel from the centre of Newcastle. Both were perfect and as advertised. I did not arrive at the hotel until 7pm. We needed a place to stay at short notice whilst we visited our daughter who lives very close to this hotel. The room was dated, and there was little water pressure in the shower but otherwise a good size and very well equipped. It was more than adequate given the price we were charged for our two night stay. The staff are lovely and made us feel very welcome in the bar. I would stay here again

The location is excellent, directly opposite Newcastle train station. The day before, I stayed at the Hampton next door.
