Found a lavre on the pillow, brought lavre pillow to reception, not a soul to be found anywhere, left a note along with a request for an ironing board and clean pillow. The shower went cold midway through after taking at least 10 minutes for the water to heat, we were showering our severely autistic son and this left him distraught shaking and confused. We had to boil a kettle so we could rinse him because the water in the sink takes 10 minutes to reach tepid. A non functioning curtain hanging off the rail, letting light in. Crisp grey white towels in the true sense of the word, crisp meaning wafer thin and hard. Not a member of staff to be found, hotel left unmanned after 7pm. Next morning when I spoke to staff, they advised to ring the hotels main number if help is required and someone from another hotel with the Warren Collection will address your concern. Three times they refused to answer if hotel is unmanned during the night. There WERE NOT any notices in the room to indicate this because we searched. After asking if they had seen my note on the lavre pillow, they said they had, they did not properly address this or apologise, instead they stared at me expressionless. They were curt, cold and offended I dared to address the lavre pillow, no ironing board and freezing cold shower. Absolutely horrible, beyond basic and in need of updating this also applies to staff. God forbid you need any assistance, this ghost hotel is not the one for you. The Warren Collection offered a laughable £25.00 off our bill, only because I emailed them; the staff did not escalate this as I had requested. To recap, a ghost hotel with phantom staff, where you can wander around without bumping into 'staff', they serve lavre on pillows and the water system is antiquated and not fit for purpose. Please do not come back with one of your curt responses, I have read how you treat your customers online; typical really given our experience. Here is the response, can you imagine a business allowing such impertinence, well you don't have to because it happens. We have tried offering resolution with you and explained our staff are available 24/7 simply pick up the phone, the welcome sheet in your room states details on how to contact staff. You had arrived late after staff had left if you had arrived to check in at check in time you’d have met the entire team on arrival. An insect on your pillow is unfortunate but with 6 other pillows in the room I’m unsure how this caused you so much distress. In winter common house spiders. The staff checked shower when you mentioned at checkout and found no issues with the shower it ran efficiently and with warm water, iron and ironing boards are kept in the cupboard beside the reception for guests to use freely and sign on the door indicates this sorry you missed it. Sorry the discount also wasn’t appreciated and your review reflects only negatives.

Lovely, very comfortable hotel. Self check in worked well - very clear instructions. We had a double room suite, both large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast worked for us (as our kids don’t eat a lot), but was pretty basic offering for a 4 star.

As per the title really. Decent location- but manage expectations if you're going solely by the pictures We had a room at the very top of the hotel and it felt like an old/tired university room. Bathroom had chewing gum on the floor, and there was hair in the bedding. Not sure if other rooms were as small/basic or if we drew the short straw? But yep very tired and dated. Probably wouldn't stay again

Well maintained and friendly staff.Really liked our room. It was a little hot at night. The breakfast was good and lots of choices. The young man working was so kind and helpful. Very nice sitting area to visit with our fellow travellers. Excellent location close to restaurants. Safe neighborhood

wonderful stay , the room was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in,spotless .Lovely and warm hotel very homely feeling.Lovely bed and linen, 4 generous feather pillows plus cushions.Tea and coffee in the room.Lovely georgian rooms ,high celings.Fabulous breakfast ,all you can eat buffet for £12 includes made to order omelettes scrambled eggs fried eggs ,poached, cold meats cheeses , fruit ,juice , danish pastry's , croissants ,cereal, the best sourdough bread ,gluten free available even chia seeds! served in breakfast room overlooking garden .Lovely staff.Central location, lovely and quiet would recommend and stay again. The bedroom door would benefit from a door trim ,or brush to the bottom of the door too prevent light leakage into the room at night but would still recommend 100 %

The pillows are like bricks the manager is a pig he needs to get manners and do a course on customer service horrible uncomfortable stinks needs updating parking is a joke and no food in a 4 star hotel a joke we paid for breakfast all I wanted was a fry I got rubbish no hot water for tea only continental breakfast so wouldn't recommend this place to stay
18.11.2024
Stayed in a spacious double room with a large and light shower room. The Gregory suited us as well we're going to the Lyric theatre which was about a 20 minute walk away. The bed was very comfortable. Hard to get the water to stay at the correct temperature. Advertised as free breakfast this is not so as £12 extra for an all you can eat buffet breakfast

Awful stay, awful service, staff were awful to me and my companions, rooms were very small and nothing close to advertisement, wouldn’t recommend at all, hotel further up street is 100 times better, go there instead. The other visitors were awfully loud, wouldn’t recommend this place to a homeless man, as the streets would be nicer.
12.10.2024
I would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly, it was easy to book in. Value for money. My room was as described, and clean and quiet. There is a lounge room which the member of staff offered for me to spend time with my son who lives in the city. That was great because we could just sit and chat. Vending machine with chocolate and crisps. Coffee machine. Both payable with card. Breakfast for an extra £10, everything from fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, cooked breakfast, eggs to order, cheese, ham, pastries, lots of teas and coffee, water, real sourdough bread, toast. Breakfast Staff were again very accommodating and friendly. Off-street Parking.

Worst hotel in Belfast Booked hotel 2 months ago and they said dogs were very welcome. Called hotel 4 days before I got there but nobody would answer phone . When we arrived the parking lot was full of construction workers vans and was there 15 minutes trying to park eventually the reception came out and sorted it. My wife went in first but they said the room was not ready so when I went all of a sudden the room was ready if I paid an extra £25 also I breakfast was included when I booked but the said no and wanted another £40. So I spoke with Manager on phone couldn’t hear her as she was babysitting with crying kids in background not very professional and she was so rude and basically called me a liar . My room was so noisy every morning the kitchen was making a racket and in middle of night there was scratching like a rat or mouse . It was a terrible experience I will NEVER return. Money suckers is what they are.

It's nice like any other subway. The food is good obviously but the service isn't that good. Staff aren't friendly.

Great food always is but air conditioning when it’s 7 degrees outside?! I was freezing as was another in our party but when we asked if it could be switched off or turned down nothing was done.

Shu Restaurant Belfast (4 min)

Reviews10.12.2017
VERY VERY disappointed in Shu. My niece booked a family Christmas meal about 5 weeks ago. She rang last night to confirm the booking ONLY to be there was no booking. I'm ONLY giving one star because the manager apologized !!!!
22.11.2017
Overall very good. Great atmosphere and buzz. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Drinks orders were not always correct. No egg with the beef tartar? Mains were actually better than the starters which is unusual in my experience. One big let down was the cheese. Really not good at all. Seemed like a bit of an after thought. Not an inspiring selection and many were very dry because they were either too old or had not been stored correctly. Negatives aside, I would certainly visit again.
16.11.2017
Expensive at night and the food, while tasty just didn't really match the cost or surroundings.
In the day time however the lunch menu alone is five stars. £3 will get you one of the finest desserts I've ever tasted. Definitely try the salted caramel.

I had a really bad experience in this restaurant last night! I order 4 steaks for my wife , 2 kids and me, one rare and three medium, they all came back very tough! I was looking at my daughters and one could not swollen her steak! I ask the server to bring the steak back to the chef to see what he thinks. The manager came who looks very Young !was nothing but rude!! At one point he was Shoving a plate with a steak on it into my face saying take it sure your kids are hungry ! I would highly recommend not to use this restaurant as food is terrible and service is a very very big letdown and How this guy became a manager in this restaurant is Beyond me

Absolutely delicious food and great service. The 5-10-5 menu (£5 for starter and dessert, £10 for mains) has a limited selection but the food is still great. Parking on the Lisburn Road can be a little difficult, but it's worth it. I had the wood pigeon and it was the best meal I'd had for several months.
