We stayed in this delightful guest house for three nights, using a twin room on the ground floor and a single room on the first floor up. Both had ensuite bathrooms. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. The single room overlooked the street, but the windows must be good because I heard minimal street noise. The hostess was truly hospitable and had suggestions regarding attractions and nearby restaurants. There are two bus stops nearby that will take you to the Royal Mile. The Highfield is definitely a hidden gem.

My best friend & I spent the first night of a week long trip here and completely loved it! Beautiful rooms, great breakfast, and Maggie was such a big help in getting us organized on bus travel in the city. Good location, highly recommended!

A lovely guest house in a quiet neighborhood with clean rooms. We stayed three nights during the Edinburgh International and Fringe Festivals and while a reasonable 20 minute walk to some venues, we found ourselves utilizing taxis to save time. Hosts were welcoming and gave us advice on transportation and food options. They even helped us warm some soup from the store across the street when we needed a quick bite upon arriving after a long flight.

I spent quite a while looking for the best combination of location, reviews, appearance, price and convenience and must confess to having been a little sceptical of the high scores I found at such a modest cost. But I found that they are totally justified. I received an upgrade on arrival and my hosts could not have been more helpful, giving me information about places worth visiting, local transport and options of where to eat etc.
Walking into the house for the first time, it was clear what a nice place I'd entered. The room itself was meticulously presented each day, with an excellent eye for small details. I even had a view of Arthur's Seat out of the window. And if like me you go without a car, the bus services nearby are frequent and excellent.

Beautiful guest house, Maggie and Gordon were fabulous, room very good, comfortable bed, tea and coffee choices in room excellent and topped up through out stay. Very clean. Shower good with quality toiletries. Map of Edinburgh in room with bus numbers and routes marked very thoughtful and invaluable. Bus stop a few minutes walk away and buses every few minutes. Excellent location. Highly recommend

I was very happy with my stay in the end. The Guest House staff was very welcoming and helpful. I loved my room and would come back int he future.
There was some initial confusion around whether my 2-night stay included breakfast or not (as my ******* booking clearly indicated it did). When I reached out to *******, the phone support was insufficient and inadequate. The Guest House did make up for it with some tea / coffee / fruit / biscuits available inside my room.

The guest house was clean and quiet. The neighborhood is very safe and walkable. The linens and beds were very comfortable. It was a 35 walk to the Royal mile but we didn’t mind when the weather was nice. The only thing I would change is to have breakfast. It would be nice to have something even it was light.

My son and I stayed at this guesthouse for a short break to Edinburgh. We were greeted by Kate who showed us to our lovely room and who then also explained about the best bus routes, the best places to eat nearby but also tips about travelling into the city centre. The room was lovely and the beds very comfortable and facilities very good and very clean. I would recommend a stay here because of the hospitality, the facilities and the area which the guesthouse is situated-lovely and quiet.

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! The BnB was beautiful and the host was so kind and helpful! I would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Our b and b host recommended this restaurant. I really enjoyed the food here. My wife and I got garlic naan with our meal which seemed to be made fresh. I had a Cobra beer which was great. As for the main course, im afraid the Cobra for me as I can't remember what I got but it was delicious.
Don't discount my opinion as I am way more judgemental after a drink or two! The main course was so packed with flavor and everything tasted fresh I can't imagine Indian food can get any better than this. Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

We are always very happy coming to the Delhi Diner. We have been coming for many years and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent,staff are friendly and helpful. Very nice to be here again.
