This hotel is perfectly located with Edinburgh city centre. Easy access to all attractions by foot or public transport.
Room offered a view of the castle and Usher Hall, not at all bothered by noise.
Customer service was excellent, cleanliness of rooms and throughout exceptional and ambiance and decor throughout was outstanding. Food and dining set to high standards and excellent.

Great hotel with lovely rooms and the best club lounge in Edinburgh.
Wonderful stay - great location - lovley spa
Although the absolute price was a bit high, the value for money was excellent! The space was huge, equivalent to two bedrooms with bathtubs, plus an oversized living room, hallway, and walk-in closet. Gin, whiskey, vodka, cola, designated beers, and other drinks were all free to enjoy. There was twice-daily housekeeping service, and coffee capsules were refilled constantly. I was very satisfied. However...
Great location and modern hotel with good facilities and bar.

I was really surprised with how good the hotel was. Very close to the bus stop where busses regularly went to and from the city centre. The room was big and clean . Breakfast was good too! Use of swimming pool and sauna also very good for money. Would recommend
Service was lovely and it is in a very convenient place with a bus stop right outside that has many bus routes stop by. Discounts offered for the zoo were also a great addition.
A nice hotel with a good restaurant. Perfect for getting to the city, while having a feeling of being the countryside.
I called room service for two glasses and they said come and pick it up . So disappoint from holiday inn staff also they didn’t knock door before open they just open
Excellent staying in the hotel- swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi pleasantly surprised us. The food was quite good. The stuff is really polite and qualified.
The swimming pool was amazing. Great facilities and the rooms come with a bath as well.

The family room is perfect for 4 of us - and the whole space is futuristic, white and cozy. The service team was very proactive and provided great advice on nearby places to check out. Good location, 10min from the beautiful Ross Fountain.
We enjoyed our stay at Yotel. It is conveniently located, easy to go anywhere and the room is spacious.
This hotel offers great value for money, and the room size is quite generous for Edinburgh. It's conveniently located, with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and it's also very close to the attractions. As soon as you step out, you're immersed in a medieval atmosphere.
Traveling to Edinburgh with my parents, we chose this chain hotel. The room was quite spacious, though there was no kettle. However, they do offer free hot water 24/7. Breakfast starts at 7 AM, but there isn't much variety, just enough to grab a quick bite.
The hotel is very close to the city center, making it convenient to get around. The environment is also quite good. The room is a bit small but very clean. There's no kettle, so I had to go downstairs to get hot water every time, which wasn't very convenient. Breakfast was decent, just the usual British breakfast items.
Good location. Quiet, clean and nice staff. Used self-check in via tablet which is easy and with no queue. We arrived Edinburgh at the bus station which is just 10-min walk to the hotel. Two negative points:- no kettle for boiling water for tea or coffee; water pools all over the floor outside the bathroom if you use the rainfall shower head.

The hotel was super accommodating! I asked to switch rooms because the first one wasn't great, and they gave me a new, bigger one. It was really clean too. Breakfast was just okay, but the location is awesome – tons of restaurants and shops nearby. The best part was they stored my bags for free after checkout, which was a huge help. Overall, it's the best place to stay, no complaints!
We only stayed for one night and I had a great price deal as well. Based on price, everything was great. Matress was comfortable. I didnt mind, but for light sleeper could be important. In our room curtains weren't blackout, but we needed to up early anyway. And pipes in the bathroom.were particularly noisy. Even during the night time. The rest was great. You get everything you need for 1-2 night...
Reallylove the atmosphere of the place and the staff was friendly. Also ata very good location.
Room was good and hotel was also decent. The problem was with the service. Despite being Do not disturb hanger in the door, the staff entered multiple times. One time it was not even a housekeeping staff, looks like someone who checks the room, just opened the door without even knocking and didn’t even say sorry.
Room also had a nice background which was well lit. Additional star just did that, otherwise...
What an amazing hotel! The staff were very great and helpful but Kash's customer service was fantastic! A young, lovely guy with fantastic customer service skills. The room was big and clean. The bed was huge and comfy. They provide hair dryer, iron and ironing board, most hotels don't. I will definitely be back. I was on my own and felt very looked after. Well done
Very good location and breakfast except the shampoo ran out but no one refill and the room service line was busy so we can’t get any help and get refill

Excellent spacious room, great location
From a hotel of this level and price you expect more for breakfast. At least delicious coffee :) and a cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom would not hurt either.
By the way, about coffee - if you come at 8 am or later, then while you wait for the waiter with coffee you can sit - what prevents the hotel from installing a coffee machine so that I can serve myself is a mystery.
The location is excellent...
Excellent location, next to Edinburgh Castle. It is a very old hotel with good facilities, a small swimming pool and sauna. A family of three checked in and the front desk gave us a family room with a separate small bed. The view outside the window is also good. There is a bathtub and capsule coffee. There is TESCO downstairs, which is very convenient for shopping. Such a good room, buy some beer and...
The room is very beautiful. You can see the castle when you book the castle room. It is also very convenient to travel. The airport can be reached directly by bus or tram. The swimming pool and sauna are free. It is only a few steps to go to other places.
Best hotel in Edinburgh, really good location, you have every good place nearby.
You also have sone great views of the castle.
Workers are awesome, shout out to Mark and Linda! Wonderful people.
There's a castle in front of the window, it's amazing. I love Scotland and I hate England, depression, depression, depression, depression, I spent a wonderful weekend in Scotland~~~~~

The hotel hall is simple but location is pretty good. Walkable from the Waverly station. Room quality and cleanliness is impeccable.
The room was clean and well-equipped. The hotel is right next to a bus stop, which was very convenient. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the housekeeping staff were also very meticulous.
Stay was great, good location, great staff. We could hear people next door coughing & talking, maybe as it had an adjoining door. But overall stay was fantastic.
This was my first time bringing my mom back to Edinburgh since graduation, and this hotel was always on my wish list when I was a student. The room offered a view of Calton Hill, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. It would have been even better if the room was on a higher floor. Plus, the haggis at the hotel breakfast was delicious, even better than the one at Haggis Box
The hotel service was quite good, and the room was clean. The location is decent; it's a short walk to Princes Street. Overall, I'm very satisfied! 👍
the hotel was so clean and modern, with a really big room -- more than enough for 2 people. the location was so great because it was right beside a theatre and we cld even catch a last minute show there! the hotel was close to our needs ie shopping, sightseeing at the royal mile and city centre.

The room was uncomfortably cold, as if it had been plunged into a deep freeze, and the air conditioning unit was functioning solely for cooling, failing to provide any warmth. It was a small room, and despite my request for assistance to the front desk, I received no follow-up or feedback regarding the situation.
Room cold couldn’t get it warm after 4hrs flat ac
Paid £289 for bb in a premium room def not worth upgrading to this type of room . Great location tho.
Very average breakfast
Overall 6/10 for me won’t be returning.

Good location and nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very nice. Easy walk all around Royal Miles and Castle
We had the best welcome greeting from the lobby staff. Service with a smile! Great to feel welcomed. The room has all the essentials and location is superb. Very near to our favorite Bella Italia restaurant. Cheers!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Great location, great service, great atmosphere, and a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend! So convenient for getting everywhere.
As a location, I think this is a very nice hotel to stay in; however, for a 5-star hotel, I expected a much higher level of service.

I stayed at Moxy for four nights. To be honest, the reception staff provided good service and a warm welcome, including a welcome drink, which I appreciated.
However, I was disappointed with the room cleanliness. When I checked the duvet, I found it was very dirty, with many yellow stains. I requested that housekeeping change it. The electric kettle in the room was also very dirty inside, with large...

The location was generally ok, just was not prepared for the hilly nature of Edinburgh. It was roughly a 15-20 minutes walk away from the Waverley train station. On top of that, you could also walk to other iconic sites like the Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument, and Carlton Hill from the hotel while walking through iconic streets like the Victoria Street. Location wise I'd definitely say many attractions...
Great location at Royal Mile. There are many eateries around and Sainsbury's is just below.
They offered us to stay in an accessible room. The room and bathroom are slightly more spacious than the standard room so it's just nice we have space to dry our umbrellas (rainy days in Edinburgh).
Smooth check in.

Overlooked that the wash basin is a bit low in an accessible...
Good location, the hotel located near highlight spot of Edinburgh. The reception staff were very friendly and upgraded my room. I received a spacious room that was fully equipped, with both a heater and air conditioning, making my vacation absolutely perfect. I will definitely return again.
The location was great, the room was very clean, and the service was excellent.
The bathroom sink was clogged. Of the two flush buttons in the toilet - only one worked.

The hotel's location is excellent; turn left 20 meters out of the hotel and you're at the train station entrance. The overall facilities are great, it's just that the room was a bit small. Also, there's a J.K. Rowling room on the 5th floor.
The hotel has a good location and the restaurant is also nice.
An absolutely wonderful experience! The hotel's location and unbeatable views made our day in Edinburgh so enjoyable. It's just a five-minute walk from the hotel to Calton Hill, and getting to the Old Town, Victoria Street (Rainbow Street), and the Royal Mile was incredibly convenient. I was staying in a large room, but there was exterior wall maintenance work going on outside. The windows were completely covered with scaffolding, making it impossible to look outside. After complaining, it took them two days to finally move me to a smaller room, which at least had a view outside. Not good time to stay with them until the construction finish.

It was a bit hard to find the hotel given there are constructions taking place now. But the hotel is clean and breakfast is awesome too
The room was pretty similar to hotels back home, though some of the facilities were a bit dated. The shower stall didn't have a door, so water splashed out, and there was scaffolding on the outside of the hotel.

This hotel's location is a little far. there is no good restaurants or supermarket besides. Not convenience for travelers. Also the room is not clean enough (I found hair on the bed). The shower's water is not strong enough and not comfortable having shower. I am not really like this hotel.
An extremely comfortable and pleasant room to stay. What I liked most: a big bed, carpeting, long couch, many sockets, tea set, many towels and hygiene supplies, thermostat, big windows. However, there was one thing I didn't really get - the shower unit is not supposed to be closed completely. It's like half open and that is why some water can splash to the bathroom floor.

Location was great; hotel was lovely but the rooms were not especially clean. For the four days the room wasn't cleaned properly nor were the beds even really made; the maids took wet towels and used cups away but didn’t replace them. We had to track them down to get replacements.

Great hotel in a good location for riverside walks . Hotel with good atmosphere and had nice comfortable stay .
it was a great experience. The ambiance was very nice 24 seven there was a receptionist and also the cleanliness was good and food is also good. I would highly recommend someone who is visiting Edinburgh to stay there because it’s closer to the town. It’s very affordable and and one of the best places to be around very close to the Dean village as well.
I booked a windowless room, which was quite affordable. The hotel is fully equipped, but it's a bit old, and some areas could use better cleaning. There's also room for improvement in their service. However, it's very close to the city center, so it's a good option if you're not too concerned about the ambiance.
Great little hotel further away from city centre.
