Edinburgh, Erskine House (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Good location. Quiet, clean and nice staff.  Used self-check in via tablet which is easy and with no queue. We arrived Edinburgh at the bus station which is just 10-min walk to the hotel.  Two negative points:- no kettle for boiling water for tea or coffee; water pools all over the floor outside the bathroom if you use the rainfall shower head.
Had another great stay at Yotel. Check-in easy with friendly helpful staff. Free tea and coffee available in the bar all day which is a lovely bright airy space. We love the minimalism of the bedroom - wall to wall white but spotless with super comfy beds and brilliant shower. Also great location for restaurants and shops and Waverly a reasonable 20 minute walk away.
❣️very good ❣️❣️❣️
Room was a great size and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and lots of storage.  Good location just a short stroll to bars, restaurant and shops
The location of this hotel is just on the border of the city centre, so it feels a lot quieter compared to right on the High Street. My room was a windowless Queen Room, with plenty of storage space for 2 people.  I quite like the design of the room, where 1 side of the room is the washing facilities. Unfortunately, the night when I stayed, there were many loud door slamming during the night.  I've...
It was a very pleasant experience, very clean, staff is friendly, and very good commodities. Highly recommend.

Excellent spacious room, great location
From a hotel of this level and price you expect more for breakfast. At least delicious coffee :) and a cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom would not hurt either. By the way, about coffee - if you come at 8 am or later, then while you wait for the waiter with coffee you can sit - what prevents the hotel from installing a coffee machine so that I can serve myself is a mystery. The location is excellent...
Excellent location, next to Edinburgh Castle. It is a very old hotel with good facilities, a small swimming pool and sauna. A family of three checked in and the front desk gave us a family room with a separate small bed. The view outside the window is also good. There is a bathtub and capsule coffee. There is TESCO downstairs, which is very convenient for shopping. Such a good room, buy some beer and...
The room is very beautiful. You can see the castle when you book the castle room. It is also very convenient to travel. The airport can be reached directly by bus or tram. The swimming pool and sauna are free. It is only a few steps to go to other places.
Best hotel in Edinburgh, really good location, you have every good place nearby. You also have sone great views of the castle. Workers are awesome, shout out to Mark and Linda! Wonderful people.
There's a castle in front of the window, it's amazing. I love Scotland and I hate England, depression, depression, depression, depression, I spent a wonderful weekend in Scotland~~~~~

Absolutely beautiful hotel with amazing staff and amenities. Would come again.
Comfortable hotel bed. Premium room w kingsize bed and two armchairs. Mini fridge, complimentary water and tuck box in the room. Social hour 5-6pm every day with complimentary wine/beer/soft drink in the bar. Gym and small pool, sauna and steam room. 20 mins walk from Edinburgh Waverly station. Absolutely amazing hotel and staff. Definitely in my top 5 of all time. First time at a Kimpton but it will definitely not be my last. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Lovely hotel with a really nice vibe. Beds are so comfy. Nice showers and luxury toiletries. Great amenities with snacks, coffee machine, local filter coffee etc in room. Staff are great and very friendly. Happy hour from 5 to 6pm with free drinks in the bar. Lovely coffee from the conservatory bar. Great selection at breakfast. All the staff are what makes the hotel so good. Really positive attitudes...
Super stay. We stayed for a wedding and they couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating Brilliant!
Service was top notch here with staff super friendly Loved the pool and spa facilities although they are small so recommend trying to go at off peak hours. The gym is surprisingly well appointed too - they should make more of that! Happy hour in the bar was a nice touch too

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered a great variety of options. It's within walking distance to all the city's attractions. I especially recommend the Sofia Restaurant downstairs; their food is top-notch. The grilled lamb chops and stewed lamb shank were delicious and reasonably priced. I ended up eating there twice!
Extremely satisfied with this hotel! During the off-season, the value for money was excellent. The hotel is a bit of a walk from Princes Street, but there's a bus stop right outside, and you can also get there in 15-20 minutes on foot. All the staff were very friendly, and I had a great experience. On my last day, I had an early train, and after I mentioned it, they even packed breakfast for me, which...

This hotel's location is a little far. there is no good restaurants or supermarket besides. Not convenience for travelers. Also the room is not clean enough (I found hair on the bed). The shower's water is not strong enough and not comfortable having shower. I am not really like this hotel.
An extremely comfortable and pleasant room to stay. What I liked most: a big bed, carpeting, long couch, many sockets, tea set, many towels and hygiene supplies, thermostat, big windows. However, there was one thing I didn't really get - the shower unit is not supposed to be closed completely. It's like half open and that is why some water can splash to the bathroom floor. The location is pretty good...

Great hotel with lovely rooms and the best club lounge in Edinburgh.
Wonderful stay - great location - lovley spa
Although the absolute price was a bit high, the value for money was excellent! The space was huge, equivalent to two bedrooms with bathtubs, plus an oversized living room, hallway, and walk-in closet. Gin, whiskey, vodka, cola, designated beers, and other drinks were all free to enjoy. There was twice-daily housekeeping service, and coffee capsules were refilled constantly. I was very satisfied. I was really surprised with how good the hotel was. Very close to the bus stop where busses regularly went to and from the city centre. The room was big and clean . Breakfast was good too! Use of swimming pool and sauna also very good for money. Would recommend
Service was lovely and it is in a very convenient place with a bus stop right outside that has many bus routes stop by. Discounts offered for the zoo were also a great addition.
A nice hotel with a good restaurant. Perfect for getting to the city, while having a feeling of being the countryside.
I called room service for two glasses and they said come and pick it up . So disappoint from holiday inn staff also they didn’t knock door before open they just open
Excellent staying in the hotel- swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi pleasantly surprised us. The food was quite good. The stuff is really polite and qualified.

Very good hotel but they need to work on providing microwave or mini fridge in the room so as to help customers preserve our food
Great hotel in a good location for riverside walks . Hotel with good atmosphere and had nice comfortable stay .
it was a great experience. The ambiance was very nice 24 seven there was a receptionist and also the cleanliness was good and food is also good. I would highly recommend someone who is visiting Edinburgh to stay there because it’s closer to the town. It’s very affordable and and one of the best places to be around very close to the Dean village as well.
I booked a windowless room, which was quite affordable. The hotel is fully equipped, but it's a bit old, and some areas could use better cleaning. There's also room for improvement in their service. However, it's very close to the city center, so it's a good option if you're not too concerned about the ambiance.
Great little hotel further away from city centre. The room was well ventilated for a windowless room, but then it was extremely cold. The heater helped a little. Carpet would have needed more vacuuming.
Was fearing the worse after reading all the reviews but thankfully the room was still acceptable for a short stay. Only 1 staff at reception.

The hotel was super accommodating! I asked to switch rooms because the first one wasn't great, and they gave me a new, bigger one. It was really clean too. Breakfast was just okay, but the location is awesome – tons of restaurants and shops nearby. The best part was they stored my bags for free after checkout, which was a huge help. Overall, it's the best place to stay, no complaints!
We only stayed for one night and I had a great price deal as well. Based on price, everything was great. Matress was comfortable. I didnt mind, but for light sleeper could be important. Room was good and hotel was also decent. The problem was with the service. Despite being Do not disturb hanger in the door, the staff entered multiple times. Room also had a nice background which was well lit. Additional star just did that, otherwise...

The room was clean and well-equipped. The hotel is right next to a bus stop, which was very convenient. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the housekeeping staff were also very meticulous.
Stay was great, good location, great staff. We could hear people next door coughing & talking, maybe as it had an adjoining door. But overall stay was fantastic.
This was my first time bringing my mom back to Edinburgh since graduation, and this hotel was always on my wish list when I was a student. The room offered a view of Calton Hill, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. It would have been even better if the room was on a higher floor. Plus, the haggis at the hotel breakfast was delicious, even better than the one at Haggis Box
The hotel service was quite good, and the room was clean. The location is decent; it's a short walk to Princes Street. Overall, I'm very satisfied! 👍
the hotel was so clean and modern, with a really big room -- more than enough for 2 people. the location was so great because it was right beside a theatre and we cld even catch a last minute show there! the hotel was close to our needs ie shopping, sightseeing at the royal mile and city centre.

I have stayed in many hotels before. However this one was a very disappointing stay. The room was very small and congested with no space to move/get dressed or even store our luggage. 2 people felt like a crowd in there. The air conditioning was loud and kept turning on and off. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Edinburgh Gateway train station, right next to a huge M&S store at the station exit. The room was uncomfortably cold, as if it had been plunged into a deep freeze, and the air conditioning unit was functioning solely for cooling, failing to provide any warmth. As a location, I think this is a very nice hotel to stay in; however, for a 5-star hotel, I expected a much higher level of service.  We were disappointed by several issues during our stay. Other than that, everything was fine. The location was very good and there were many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it was very convenient. I think it is a hotel with many advantages.
The room was tiny, and the bedside table was minuscule. It made for a very uncomfortable stay. However, the front desk service was quite good. They even offered complimentary biscuits and some water.

The hotel is very quiet, and the bed is big and comfortable. But the room is a little small. The hotel will send some snacks and water every day. But the hotel lobby is relatively small, and only some customers who need to drink and order food can sit in the room below, which is not good.
Great old school hotel that provides affordable luxury. All amenities thought off,I really can’t fault it. The only thing I would mention is that there is no air con but for Edinburgh that isn’t really needed 95% of the time. Would definitely return
