I was really surprised with how good the hotel was. Very close to the bus stop where busses regularly went to and from the city centre. The room was big and clean . Breakfast was good too! Use of swimming pool and sauna also very good for money. Would recommend
Service was lovely and it is in a very convenient place with a bus stop right outside that has many bus routes stop by. Discounts offered for the zoo were also a great addition.
A nice hotel with a good restaurant. Perfect for getting to the city, while having a feeling of being the countryside.
I called room service for two glasses and they said come and pick it up . So disappoint from holiday inn staff also they didn’t knock door before open they just open
Excellent staying in the hotel- swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi pleasantly surprised us. The food was quite good. The stuff is really polite and qualified.
The swimming pool was amazing. Great facilities and the rooms come with a bath as well.

The family room is perfect for 4 of us - and the whole space is futuristic, white and cozy. The service team was very proactive and provided great advice on nearby places to check out. Good location, 10min from the beautiful Ross Fountain.
We enjoyed our stay at Yotel. It is conveniently located, easy to go anywhere and the room is spacious.
This hotel offers great value for money, and the room size is quite generous for Edinburgh. It's conveniently located, with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and it's also very close to the attractions. As soon as you step out, you're immersed in a medieval atmosphere.
Traveling to Edinburgh with my parents, we chose this chain hotel. The room was quite spacious, though there was no kettle. However, they do offer free hot water 24/7. Breakfast starts at 7 AM, but there isn't much variety, just enough to grab a quick bite.
The hotel is very close to the city center, making it convenient to get around. The environment is also quite good. The room is a bit small but very clean. There's no kettle, so I had to go downstairs to get hot water every time, which wasn't very convenient. Breakfast was decent, just the usual British breakfast items.
Good location. Quiet, clean and nice staff. Used self-check in via tablet which is easy and with no queue. We arrived Edinburgh at the bus station which is just 10-min walk to the hotel. Two negative points:- no kettle for boiling water for tea or coffee; water pools all over the floor outside the bathroom if you use the rainfall shower head.

The hotel was super accommodating! I asked to switch rooms because the first one wasn't great, and they gave me a new, bigger one. It was really clean too. Breakfast was just okay, but the location is awesome – tons of restaurants and shops nearby. The best part was they stored my bags for free after checkout, which was a huge help. Overall, it's the best place to stay, no complaints!
We only stayed for one night and I had a great price deal as well. Based on price, everything was great. Matress was comfortable. I didnt mind, but for light sleeper could be important. In our room curtains weren't blackout, but we needed to up early anyway. And pipes in the bathroom.were particularly noisy. Even during the night time. The rest was great. You get everything you need for 1-2 night...
Reallylove the atmosphere of the place and the staff was friendly. Also ata very good location.
Room was good and hotel was also decent. The problem was with the service. Despite being Do not disturb hanger in the door, the staff entered multiple times. One time it was not even a housekeeping staff, looks like someone who checks the room, just opened the door without even knocking and didn’t even say sorry.
Room also had a nice background which was well lit. Additional star just did that, otherwise...
What an amazing hotel! The staff were very great and helpful but Kash's customer service was fantastic! A young, lovely guy with fantastic customer service skills. The room was big and clean. The bed was huge and comfy. They provide hair dryer, iron and ironing board, most hotels don't. I will definitely be back. I was on my own and felt very looked after. Well done
Very good location and breakfast except the shampoo ran out but no one refill and the room service line was busy so we can’t get any help and get refill

The hotel hall is simple but location is pretty good. Walkable from the Waverly station. Room quality and cleanliness is impeccable.
The room was clean and well-equipped. The hotel is right next to a bus stop, which was very convenient. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the housekeeping staff were also very meticulous.
Stay was great, good location, great staff. We could hear people next door coughing & talking, maybe as it had an adjoining door. But overall stay was fantastic.
This was my first time bringing my mom back to Edinburgh since graduation, and this hotel was always on my wish list when I was a student. The room offered a view of Calton Hill, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. It would have been even better if the room was on a higher floor. Plus, the haggis at the hotel breakfast was delicious, even better than the one at Haggis Box
The hotel service was quite good, and the room was clean. The location is decent; it's a short walk to Princes Street. Overall, I'm very satisfied! 👍
the hotel was so clean and modern, with a really big room -- more than enough for 2 people. the location was so great because it was right beside a theatre and we cld even catch a last minute show there! the hotel was close to our needs ie shopping, sightseeing at the royal mile and city centre.

We stayed for two nights. Everything else was great, but the towels were not changed, which felt unhygienic.
The location was ok ish. it’s like 10 mjns from waverly train station. The rooms and amenities were good.
Excellent, excellent, excellent! Great location, great service, great atmosphere, and a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend! So convenient for getting everywhere.
As a location, I think this is a very nice hotel to stay in; however, for a 5-star hotel, I expected a much higher level of service.
We were disappointed by several issues during our stay. First, housekeeping knocked on our door around 8 a.m., waking us up to ask if we needed cleaning. We requested the service, but when we returned to our room around 3 p.m., it had not been cleaned. Even after we...
Lovely luxury hotel in the heart of the new town area of Edinburgh. Very comfy rooms, great food and helpful staff. Highly recommended

Spacious clean, quiet room, friendly front desk service, convenient location to train. Bonus, we got a free upgrade to a nicer room.
Location was great; hotel was lovely but the rooms were not especially clean. For the four days the room wasn't cleaned properly nor were the beds even really made; the maids took wet towels and used cups away but didn’t replace them. We had to track them down to get replacements.
Hotel was well located. Very near the station. Room was large, spacious and clean. Heating in the room didn’t function. We complained once and it was fixed but stopped working again in the evening so when we woke up in the morning it was very cold. Room was on the second floor overlooking the rubbish bin area. It was also right where staff came out to have a cigarette so people were often hanging in...
The place was clean and spacious, in a great location, and the staff were polite and very helpful.
Due to the train, we arrived very late, but the staff at the front desk warmly welcomed us. The online check-in process was also very convenient. The room we stayed in had a skylight, which was quite nice. The overall style of the hotel also gave off a unique charm.❤️
Avoid lower floors as they’re close to Laundry and bins. Reception is level 5 and I was level 2.

The room was uncomfortably cold, as if it had been plunged into a deep freeze, and the air conditioning unit was functioning solely for cooling, failing to provide any warmth. It was a small room, and despite my request for assistance to the front desk, I received no follow-up or feedback regarding the situation.

Paid £289 for bb in a premium room def not worth upgrading to this type of room . Great location tho.
Very average breakfast
Overall 6/10 for me won’t be returning.

Good location and nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very nice. Easy walk all around Royal Miles and Castle
We had the best welcome greeting from the lobby staff. Service with a smile! Great to feel welcomed. The room has all the essentials and location is superb. Very near to our favorite Bella Italia restaurant. Cheers!
A lovely relaxing stay in Edinburgh, made even better by the location and service of this hotel.

The plugs did not block water egress in either the bath or vanity basin. The No. 2 Lothian bus stops at the door, and this makes it very convenient indeed.
Everything was good except I specifically booked here as it showed that it has swimming pool but sadly it OUT OF ORDER when we checked in.
Room has no air con, and many steps up the lobby. Many basic amenities cost money (such as slippers)
, parking additional charge at £10/nights
Locations is good, Victoria street literally just outside of the hotel.
Endinburgh Castle view is available from the main entrance of the hotel.
Very convenient location and spacious rooms. Just that nwarer to the weekends, the noise level from the bars can be quite loud. Otherwise, hotel is clean and great.
The hotel is at the center of Grassmarket street. Quite convenient to walk around if you ok with steps.

The room is a bit small, but the location is incredibly convenient; it's only a 2-minute walk to Edinburgh Waverley Station.
clean and well service, every staff member is friendly.
Better than expected! It's conveniently located, and the hotel is very clean. The best part is that it has a real extra bed, not a sofa bed. Very nice.
The room was very clean, and the location couldn't be better. It's practically right next to Market Street Station – just a short walk to the left after you exit. The back door leads directly to the Royal Mile, and the front door, after crossing the station, takes you straight to Princes Street. All the classic sights are within walking distance.
The only minor complaint is that there's ongoing renovation...

The hotel room was very nice and neat. The receptionist who received us was very engaging and helpful. The hotel was close to the airport for my early morning flight. The only problem I had was with the shower. The water pressure was very low and it took forever to heat up making a 10 mins bath turn into a 30 mins one.
It is located next to Heriot-Watt University. The room is neat and clean.
Had a really lovely stay! The hotel was clean, modern, and felt very comfortable throughout. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. Lovely hotel in Hollyrood, Edinburgh. Not too far from the centre or masses of places to eat.

Mixed experience – not quite 4-star quality for the price
I recently stayed at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel and, unfortunately, had to request a room change upon arrival. The first room didn’t feel like what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel, especially at nearly £200 per night. It was very basic—no carpet, no robe, and no slippers. I was staying in a large room, but there was exterior wall maintenance work going on outside. The windows were completely covered with scaffolding, making it impossible to look outside. After complaining, it took them two days to finally move me to a smaller room, which at least had a view outside. Not good time to stay with them until the construction finish.

It was a bit hard to find the hotel given there are constructions taking place now. But the hotel is clean and breakfast is awesome too
The room was pretty similar to hotels back home, though some of the facilities were a bit dated. The shower stall didn't have a door, so water splashed out, and there was scaffolding on the outside of the hotel.

I have to give this hotel a big thumbs-up. Each floor has a purified water dispenser, and they even leave little biscuits in the room every day. The hotel is right next to Edinburgh Castle, and since Edinburgh isn't that big, it's convenient to get anywhere from here.
The hotel room had a view of Edinburgh Castle, which was amazing! Besides the standard breakfast items, we could also order an additional hot meal every day, which was a nice touch. The room quality is on par with a 3-star hotel in China. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, but the room layout was quite odd and winding. The bed wasn't very big either. It's super convenient if you want to visit Calton Hill, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're primarily interested in the city center, as it's about a 20-minute walk.
Hotel staff were lovely. Great Location. Just had a few issues with room, coffee machine was completely broken, broken bed light which wouldn’t normally bother me but the room had no main light. the phone to contact reception and room service wasn’t plugged in or even have a lead to plug in… and the bathroom had a awful smell.
Good bed linen and towels. Nice addition of dressing gowns.
