I was really surprised with how good the hotel was. Very close to the bus stop where busses regularly went to and from the city centre. The room was big and clean . Breakfast was good too! Use of swimming pool and sauna also very good for money. Would recommend

Service was lovely and it is in a very convenient place with a bus stop right outside that has many bus routes stop by. Discounts offered for the zoo were also a great addition.

Excellent staying in the hotel- swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi pleasantly surprised us. The food was quite good. The stuff is really polite and qualified.

This hotel offers great value for money, and the room size is quite generous for Edinburgh. It's conveniently located, with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and it's also very close to the attractions. As soon as you step out, you're immersed in a medieval atmosphere.

Traveling to Edinburgh with my parents, we chose this chain hotel. The room was quite spacious, though there was no kettle. However, they do offer free hot water 24/7. Breakfast starts at 7 AM, but there isn't much variety, just enough to grab a quick bite.

The hotel is very close to the city center, making it convenient to get around. The environment is also quite good. The room is a bit small but very clean. There's no kettle, so I had to go downstairs to get hot water every time, which wasn't very convenient. Breakfast was decent, just the usual British breakfast items.

Good location. Quiet, clean and nice staff.  Used self-check in via tablet which is easy and with no queue. We arrived Edinburgh at the bus station which is just 10-min walk to the hotel.  Two negative points:- no kettle for boiling water for tea or coffee; water pools all over the floor outside the bathroom if you use the rainfall shower head.

The hotel was super accommodating! I asked to switch rooms because the first one wasn't great, and they gave me a new, bigger one. It was really clean too. Breakfast was just okay, but the location is awesome – tons of restaurants and shops nearby. The best part was they stored my bags for free after checkout, which was a huge help. Overall, it's the best place to stay, no complaints!

We only stayed for one night and I had a great price deal as well. Based on price, everything was great. Matress was comfortable. I didnt mind, but for light sleeper could be important. What an amazing hotel! The staff were very great and helpful but Kash's customer service was fantastic! A young, lovely guy with fantastic customer service skills. The room was big and clean. This was my first time bringing my mom back to Edinburgh since graduation, and this hotel was always on my wish list when I was a student. the hotel was so clean and modern, with a really big room -- more than enough for 2 people. the location was so great because it was right beside a theatre and we cld even catch a last minute show there! the hotel was close to our needs ie shopping, sightseeing at the royal mile and city centre.

Location was great; hotel was lovely but the rooms were not especially clean. For the four days the room wasn't cleaned properly nor were the beds even really made; the maids took wet towels and used cups away but didn’t replace them. We had to track them down to get replacements.

The plugs did not block water egress in either the bath or vanity basin. The No. 2 Lothian bus stops at the door, and this makes it very convenient indeed.

Everything was good except I specifically booked here as it showed that it has swimming pool but sadly it OUT OF ORDER when we checked in.

Room has no air con, and many steps up the lobby. Many basic amenities cost money (such as slippers) , parking additional charge at £10/nights Locations is good, Victoria street literally just outside of the hotel. Endinburgh Castle view is available from the main entrance of the hotel.

Novotel Edjnburgh is best hotel i must admit either comfortwise, cleanliness, leisures provided and most importantly location wise and a beautiful mountain view with snow covered from room. Adiitionally you will find major shops nearby 5 mins walk boyh food and amenities/cloth

We had a fantastic 3 night stay . Everyone in the hotel was so happy and helpful . Breakfast was terrific . The pool was lovely and warm with a great sauna & steam room . Gym had very new machines . The hotel room was very nice and neat. The receptionist who received us was very engaging and helpful.The hotel was close to the airport for my early morning flight. The only problem I had was with the shower. The water pressure was very low and it took forever to heat up making a 10 mins bath turn into a 30 mins one.

 I was staying in a large room, but there was exterior wall maintenance work going on outside. The windows were completely covered with scaffolding, making it impossible to look outside. After complaining, it took them two days to finally move me to a smaller room, which at least had a view outside. Not good time to stay with them until the construction finish.

The room was pretty similar to hotels back home, though some of the facilities were a bit dated. The shower stall didn't have a door, so water splashed out, and there was scaffolding on the outside of the hotel.

I have to give this hotel a big thumbs-up. Each floor has a purified water dispenser, and they even leave little biscuits in the room every day. The hotel is right next to Edinburgh Castle, and since Edinburgh isn't that big, it's convenient to get anywhere from here.

This is meant to be a 4 star city-centre hotel and it is therefore expected that the facilities on offer will include a bar and dining facilities. This is not the case. While there is a bar and restaurant it transpires that the bar has not opened since COVID. In addition, while the restaurant serves a very nice breakfast, it does not serve lunch, snacks or dinner. There is no vending machine either...

The staff are friendly, but the room itself wasn’t vacuumed our entire stay. The towels were changed but the bedding wasn’t, just the bed made. The room isn't very big, and it's right next to the train station. It's also very close to the main attractions. It's newly renovated and very clean. There are also quite a few complimentary drinks. It's suitable for a short stopover.

The room quality is on par with a 3-star hotel in China. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, but the room layout was quite odd and winding. The bed wasn't very big either. It's super convenient if you want to visit Calton Hill, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're primarily interested in the city center, as it's about a 20-minute walk.

Just had a few issues with room, coffee machine was completely broken, broken bed light which wouldn’t normally bother me but the room had no main light. the phone to contact reception and room service wasn’t plugged in or even have a lead to plug in… and the bathroom had a awful smell.
