Glasgow Youth Hostel in Glasgow

It was great! Good location in West End and fabulous view. It super atmospheric and has great amenities. We stayed in a six person room which had a private bathroom and shower. My small complaints is that I think the room we stayed in used to be bigger and has a thin wall built in the middle to split it from the other. This wall has a gap which makes you hear all the noise from the other room. You might as well all be in one room! It was also kind of cold in the room but that comes with the stunning old building! We needed an extra night in the hostel the morning of and were accommodated for no extra charge and all stayed in the same room. I know that this is subject to availability but the front desk was incredibly helpful! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

The place was just perfect. Great location, very clean. Huge common rooms. A great spot. Definitely recommend it for travellers looking for a safe reliable place in Glasgow.

Don’t come here for the starry-eyed backpacker’s idea of a hostel where you’re looking for a fun social time to meet fellow yougins, but do come if you’re looking for a nicer place to rest your head! The name is a bit deceiving, I saw more people twice my age than around it. Admittedly nothing in the details says there’s a specific age demographic, I just got a bit fooled by the name. Actual complaint: The sparse amount of plugs in the room was very annoying, but I suppose there’s only so much they can do with the electrical. Besides that all the facilities I saw were pretty good, hot water was a bit of a gamble but so be it. The hostel is built very nice and is located in a good neighborhood, even if a bit dark I always felt safe. It’s a bit farther from city central than some of the other hostels but just a wee walk.

This is a great hostel! The location is convenient for visiting Glasgow's west end and Kelvingrove Museum and park as well as Glasgow University. Its location is quiet and beautiful. The services and amenities are well-organized and clean. I would stay here again. The only negative would be that the walls can be thin and you may hear people in the next room. However, I found that people respected the 10 pm limit on any noise.

The room was basic but good and the hostel is a fine place to spend time.

This was a great place to stay to explore the area around the University of Glasgow. The rooms are clean and their is a luggage storage room for after you check out.
