Everything was as expected. Staff was pleasant. Swimming pool and sauna were lovely. The hotel was warm, clean, and comfortable. The room was warm, clean, and comfortable. I recommend.
Room was ok bathroom beautiful but room itself was small and dated for a superior
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was clean and warm. The only thing to mention was the pool area which needs a spruce up especially all the rust that shows. A couple more chairs needed too as there were only two to relax on but fortunately we were the only couple there. The pool was perfect for a swim which we did enjoy.
Room was big and spacious,
Heating in room was toasty.
Breakfast was good
Only let down was the freezing cold pool which is classed as a leisure pool. Was expecting it to be warm.
Every thing was great, the breakfast was delicious and the evening meals I had were too.
My room was clean and large enough to move around.
Thank you to the staff
Staff was amazing. The room was clean but old. The bed, although I paid for a queen or king ended up being two separate beds put together, and both of them had huge divots in them from where people have been sleeping. So I do believe that they need to be replaced. Location was great as it was walking distance to downtown. The food in the restaurant was not the best. And all I could hear while I was...

Very very good hotel on the best street of Inverness one can get, also the price was the steal deal, the staff was very helpful, also provided us the cutlery when requested and also unlimited free WiFi and water at reception, very good 4 star hotel rooms as expected, GYM AS OF START APRIL 2026 time was not available due to renovations work
A great value stay for the night. The room was clean and bathroom very well kept. The room felt quite new and had all the usual amenities; Hairdryer, Safe etc. Beds were comfy and room very dark with the lights out which was lovely. Staff were freindly and helpful and the location is very central, my only complaint is the room wasn't particularly quiet as noise from outside was fairly heavy and the...
The hotel needs pre notification if you need housekeeping. But I already pre notified needed housekeeping, there’s no housekeeping at all. When I asked front desk, she said she is new in hotel and doesn’t know all the rooms numbers and location yet. I think this is not a good reason.
good location, nice room and facilities, helpful staff, like!
The room was modern and reception staff was professional. I would like to use next time too!
Just a heads-up for anyone driving, this hotel doesn't have a parking lot. The cleanliness wasn't outstanding, but it was acceptable. On the bright side, the breakfast was fantastic, and the service was really good. Overall, it's a decent stay.
Hotel is nearly renovated, spacious, which you can’t expect from HolidayInn standard.
The hotel offer enough parking lot and the breakfast is really good.
Your hotel located just outside the city.
Very nice place to stay! Thx Laura for the kind service and reception!
Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.
Great experience. As requested
It was in located in the central spot of the town . And has a sea view too. And what impressed was the included breakfast for this cost . The food was good and the rooms were so comfortable.

The place was so cozy and immaculate. The staff was incredible!! Shout out to Jonathan, the manager; Isla, the front end; the bartender, Emile; and the cleaning staff. My family was equally pleased. We would definitely stay here again!!
Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff, very comfy bed, nice bathroom, although shower could do with being a bit more powerful. Food was very nice too
Such a beautiful place to stay with friendly staff and a nice breakfast. So close to the walkable streets downtown. Definately recommend!
Really comfortable, lovely hotel. perfect location, perfect for deep sleep, very nice staff.
The Beaufort was incredibly beautiful. The staff that we interacted with were all excellent! About a five-ten minute walk from the train station and there were several food options close by.
If we ever return to Inverness we would be delighted to return to The Beaufort. The bathrooms were very up-to-date. The staff a delight. Location is super convenient to the city. We especially liked the public rooms on the ground floor.
Good location however parking was very limited. We were staying 2 nights and didn’t manage to get a space resulting in us having to pay for parking when the website stated free parking it was a big factor in choosing this hotel. The decor is very dated and scruffy but rooms are clean. Rooms don’t get made up daily unless you request. The windows were very draughty resulting in us keeping the curtains...
Perfect location, right next to the station in the city centre. A grand lobby and friendly staff made check in fast and simple. Room was basic but had everything I needed and was clean, bec very comfortable.
Inverness is a lovely little city and I'd have no hesitation staying at the Royal again.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Basic breakfast but good. Great location in Inverness. There is parking out fron but only a small carpark compared to hotel size so not guaranteed to get a spot near the hotel.
Paid for a double room with double bed , checked when I left bags & advised that's what I had but it was two large singles when I booked in . Very clean
Meal in Ash restaurant was disappointing but staff didn't care
Quite an old hotel. Hotel room has a flight of stairs up after getting off to the floor via lift. A little inconvenience for heavy luggages. Location is great just by the underground station.
Royal highland hotel is well located and they are just nest the mall. The hotel is well kept and room is well maintained. Areas are surrounding by restaurants and pub. The only cons is that car parking lots is limited and it first come first serve basic. Min walk to castle and major attractions
Peter, the inn keeper is fantastic. Great breakfast and staff. Clean room. Easy parking and access to everything easily from Culloden to Inverness to Findhorn.
We stayed here for the convenient location, and had a bit of an emergency. The staff could not have been more kind or helpful. I will make this my regular place to stay every time I am in the area, which is 4-5x a year. Fantastic food too!
Beautiful small town feel. Family like atmosphere, the rooms were extremely clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. Easy bus route into Inverness or close enough by taxi to not cost a fortune. Complimentary breakfast was amazing unlike just the continental offered at most big chain hotels. Highly recommend it if you plan on touring the area
The owner himself ran the breakfast area (great meals!) and personally offered the use of the washer and dryer for us. One evening dinner service was on the slow side but the food was very good. Andy at the bar was kind and personable. Both gave us tips on places to visit.
The room was third floor and no lift but Andy showed us how to open the window for comfort and I loved the little lending library...
From the moment I arrived, the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Peter went the extra mile and drove me to meet my tour bus when the taxi was not available. You really feel part of the family. Breakfast was made to order! Delicious home cooked food.
Lovely staff and nice clean rooms, tasty breakfast good value for money. Showers poor need fixing.

Massive family room with kitchenette (microwave, plates and cutleries)! We had a dining area with tables and chairs to have a meal. The bathroom was very big as well. Everything was very clean and beds very comfortable.
They offered a self-check in and check out during off peak seasons, the process was very simple and straightforward. If needed, someone can be contacted fairly easily as well

The room was spacious, clean, freshly furnished and comfortable. The hotel is a pleasant 12 minute uphill walk from the city centre. Or 5 minutes down to the riverside. Reception was unstaffed. The original pass keys did not work. After a telephone call, this issue was resolved. The other minor issue was that there were no batteries in the tv remote control. I could switch the tv on manually to STV...
Room very accessible clean and comfortable. Short walk into Inverness so great location. Owner very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again
The Crown Hotel offers excellent value for the price. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. Amenities are impressive, including safe parking and CCTV security for peace of mind. The hotel features a convenient 24-hour self-check-in process, allowing flexibility for guests. You can retrieve your key from a secure locker using a provided PIN, making check-in seamless...
Young man at reception is always very helpful and friendly. Always feel the room is a little dusty.
When we arrived at the hotel we were told breakfast was not available at the property, however there are plenty of restaurants within a 15 mins walk to town. The bed was very comfy and clean however we had no running water most of the time and the pipes in the room were so loud which I can only think we're from other guests using water. When we went down to reception to speak to someone there was never...

I didn’t stay in this hotel but I must give big kudos to the reception team. Today I left my phone in the bus. Noticing that I can’t make it to get after the bus I saw the Chieftain hotel and went in to ask for help. Dean was very friendly and fast acting. He called the bus company, located the bus, called a taxi for me and explained to the driver where to find the bus. His colleague Siobhan came to...
A great experience and a joy to be served by Siobhan. A smile and a friendly welcome, a genuine desire to chat to us about day, and an obvious pride in giving customers a great service.
Stayed for 3 nights for my husbands 60th birthday, I told the host in advance and we were delighted to be upgraded, when we got to our room there was a cuddly Nessie in the bed with a cake and a 60 badge, so very kind, those cuddly Nessie’s are expensive. The room was large and comfortable with a seating area, a great base to explore, we could walk into town in 10 minutes. Food was great, staff couldn...
Amazing and cozy hotel! Nick is an amazing manager and made the experience even more fantastic! The rooms are lovely as well as the bar and food and other staff! Very much like a locals place! Will come again!
Excellent stay here. Room fantastic and very clean. Bar great. Staff so lovely and were great with my sausage dog. Loved the doggy station - so accommodating! Thankyou so much we loved our stay Thankyou also to the lady who had a dog who had just had a litter of pups she was a diamond and sorted our room for us
Got a 3 star hotel it was excellent Immaculately clean and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful Very convenient location
It was so so, my bed was sinking me in and that was really uncomfortable. There was no protein included in the breakfast, only carbs. Everything else was ok.
Good place for a night stay near Inverness railway station
Overall good stay! Booked close to the holidays so the deal was good! However, the bathroom was mouldy and very congested. Apart from that usual amenities and breakfast options. Very accessible location! The staff were very polite and easy going.
There were so many bugs! I was so itchy while sleeping! I wouldn't choose this place again. It was a particularly bad experience. The breakfast was like torn open bags of ready-to-eat food
No soap in the room and breakfast isn't western it's continental some cereals and some baked stuff nothing special
Price is kinda ok for what you get however some parts are weird like the soap
Felt like a dying hotel holding on to get some more cash out of it
The location is good. It was a solo journey but the place is decent for emergency and quick letting. Although, I would say the service and cleanliness could be better. Only consider this if you're on a budget and you need a quick let in Inverness. However, I'm glad the availability is there.

Room was impeccable with extremely comfy bed. All facilites were on hand and area was so quiet given its close proximity to town centre. Hosts were welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Would recommend and will definitely go again.
Nice and clean. Just to mention, but nothing serious, I didn't get a shower cap. The rest was perfect, nice breakfast, enough even to take a sandwich for the road. Thanks
Warm welcome by owners. Rooms were extremely clean and well appointed. Waking up to a tasty home made breakfast by Janice was a great way to start the day. Would definitely recommend!!
Absolutely marvellous. The host Janice was warm, helpful and informative.
Great breakfast- generous freshly cooked.
We were able to get our washing done which was handy.
We had a wonderful stay at Furan Guesthouse. The owner was very friendly and funny. She had wonderful suggestions for activities and even had laminated packets of information on the area, which proved to be very helpful. Attention to detail is evident throughout the guest house. We loved the three-room family suite. It gave us plenty of room to spread out.
Great place to stay
The hostess, Joyce, was a real delight and very helpful. The location is convenient to downtown and the breakfast was very good.

Our room was good .. the shower too small .. staff were lovely and fun .. would go back ..
Great location lovely reception.
However very noisy outside my room. Walls are thin.
Some unfinished areas in room and bathroom
We stayed in one of the apartments which was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had very good food and drinks (you could tell there were locals there as well as hotel guests) and the staff was as accommodating and polite as can be.
Stayed for one night only. rooms were nice and super clean.
We stayed in a small building opposite the main building, which is a B&B style hotel. The internal parking lot is convenient for parking, and the waiter can also help with luggage enthusiastically, but it is too busy. It feels good considering the expectations of a B&B.
The hotel is on the mountain, but it is still quite convenient. There is a delicious Jamaican restaurant in the town.

The couple who own and run the accommodation,
bar and restaurant really know what they are doing.
There’s a pleasant relaxed vibe to the whole
place that makes it feel like an extension of
your own home. We only stayed three nights
but I think after a day we were already talking
about the Steadings as ‘coming home’ after a
day out. There’s no hype or bluster, the services
are warm, understated and...
A very comfortable stay. The meal we had in the restaurant was really tasty and freshly prepared. Best white wine spritzer I have had for a long time in the bar!
We Had an exciting meal, and friendly service, The menu was different and full of unusual yet pleasant tastes. that made for a memorable evening with friends.
I stayed here in my campervan on one of their lovely level pitches which all had individual water, waste, electric and even TV point. Didnt need the TV point as the views from the windows including Kites battling in the wind were amazing. I stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant both nights.
The food was amazing and I ate Venison and Belly Pork and even persuaded to try the Ginger and Date pudding...
Had an absolutely great very peaceful time here. Food was faultless.
Great food great service lovely setting!
