I didn’t stay in this hotel but I must give big kudos to the reception team. Today I left my phone in the bus. Noticing that I can’t make it to get after the bus I saw the Chieftain hotel and went in to ask for help. Dean was very friendly and fast acting. He called the bus company, located the bus, called a taxi for me and explained to the driver where to find the bus. His colleague Siobhan came to help as it was check-out time and incoming calls as well. I got my phone back and I’m truly grateful to Dean and Siobhan for this amazing help. Thank you so much!

A great experience and a joy to be served by Siobhan. A smile and a friendly welcome, a genuine desire to chat to us about day, and an obvious pride in giving customers a great service.

Stayed for 3 nights for my husbands 60th birthday, I told the host in advance and we were delighted to be upgraded, when we got to our room there was a cuddly Nessie in the bed with a cake and a 60 badge, so very kind, those cuddly Nessie’s are expensive. The room was large and comfortable with a seating area, a great base to explore, we could walk into town in 10 minutes. Food was great, staff couldn’t do enough for us, we absolutely loved this hotel and would come again

Invited for a Lunch by Gary and Bobby It was a wonderful atmosphere with lots of lovely people getting together for the first time. The Lunch was excellent with great service by Justin and his team who went the extra mile to make sure everyone was attended to. Well done to Bobby and Gary and all the best in your new venture will certainly be looking forward to the next one. Thank you all for for making everyone feel so welcome. Will definately be back.

We went for a one night stay here and the staff were all so lovely and accommodating. The rooms unfortunately need a bit of TLC. The room we were given initially the window wouldn’t close and was right next to a main road and a smoking area below we knew would be an issue with my asthma. Went to reception and they were more than happy to move us to another room. We had paid for a bigger room but was moved to a smaller one, it wasn’t much of a difference in price but the move was needed. Our new room was ideal. It was very clean and tidy but it is tired in areas but once we went for tea we can see why - the staff are flat out! They don’t stop to breathe. No wonder they don’t have much time for anything else. They all work so hard and we had a meal in the restaurant it was fantastic. The portions were great and priced perfectly. The staff again were very attentive and spoke to us like we had known them our whole life. The location is ideal as only a short walk to the city centre. The price of the rooms are fantastic given the location. It wouldn’t take a great deal to get the rooms into a better shape but don’t let put you off, we would definitely go back.

We have stayed here numerous times over the years and it never disappoints. Food is spot on and good proper pub scran. Staff couldn't of done anymore for us, really helpful and went out their way to make our weekend super enjoyable. Highly recommend ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
