Best Western Plus Pioneer Park Inn in Fairbanks

This hotel was absolutely terrible. When we arrived in the evening, they said there were no rooms available. After some negotiation, they said we'd have to wait half an hour for the room to be cleaned. Interestingly, the white tourists in the same queue got their room keys without any delay... The worst part was that after waiting 45 minutes to check into the room, the sheets hadn't been changed, and soon after, the toilet reeked of feces. The toilet didn't have a separate ventilation system, so the smell was completely uncontrollable... This is truly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in during all my trips to Europe and America...

I stayed at this hotel for about 2 and half weeks and unfortunately had a very poor experience.

The room layout itself was odd, with the sink located outside of the bathroom, but the biggest issue was the lack of housekeeping. On multiple occasions I returned to my room after 12-hour workdays to find that the garbage had not been emptied and towels had not been replaced. During my entire stay, housekeeping only made my bed twice. I also had to go to the front desk on two separate occasions just to request that my room be cleaned.

The overall cleanliness of the property was disappointing. The pool area was dirty and even had construction materials left around it, which did not make it feel inviting or well-maintained. To make matters worse, there was a homeless individual sleeping in one of the stairwells during my stay, which raised concerns about security and management of the property.

For the price and the reputation of the hotel, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest service. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and I would not choose to stay here again.

we left Saturday, stayed there eight days. Only received one bar of soap the entire time. Yes, we asked for some at the desk and they said they are not a full service hotel. So we used shampoo for soap the entire time. We received towels the last few days that was it. However, there were many good choices for breakfast in the morning. The breakfast area was very clean and the young man there was working very hard to make it presentable. I was impressed with him. I told him thank you a few times. Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Front desk staff seemed nice though, but rooms were not as clean as they should be. Probably some kind of housekeeping management problem… wasn’t the worst, but I would probably not return.
