Bridgewater Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham in Fairbanks

The menu says "topped with fresh mushrooms, melted Swiss cheese" which is exactly what I wanted, so I order the Swiss/Mushroom Burger. It sure looked good until I discovered the Canned Mushrooms (YUK) and American Swiss Cheese (Double YUK!) For $13.75, fresh mushrooms and a slice of real Swiss cheese is what you should get - as stated in the menu! New owners Jeff and Jen, you didn't make any points with me. I wonder how many other items on the menu are made with cheap, crappy ingredients. I don't think I'll be back to find out.

Absolutely crap service. Was blatantly ignored as soon as a much larger group was seated after me. I have to wait for over and hour for my check which I had to ask for SIX times and they just ignore an empty cup even when you ask for a refill.

I ate here to see what all the hype was about, I was not impressed. In fact maybe today was an off day for this place. First there were lots of people inside,so I'm thinking that this place must be good. I knew that it may take a while for the main order so I ordered those nearly 9$ fried pickles. So a little time goes by and the young man comes to the table with the fried pickles. It was maybe 9 slices on my tray for 8.75 . I'm not sure if they changed me extra for all the grease they were swimming in but I figured maybe I'm being too picky. So I wait for the main course. St. Louis style ribs Mac and cheese with a side of coleslaw and Texas toast. Sounds good right? First I tried the Mac and cheese. I tasted a small bit of the tasteless pasta. Was really bland I went on to the coleslaw. Figured not many people can go wrong with coleslaw. Turns out they was a part of the few. I am now almost afraid to bring the poor pork into this on slot of culinary cruelty. But since this poor little piggy was murdered for this, I owe it to the pig to at least try it even if it didn't have sauce cook on to it. I owed that pig to try.. I grabbed the 6pk of sauces to see which one would go best with the ribs.. I ended up choosing some sweet spicy sauce. Seems like the right thing to do at this point. My husband sliced me a peace of rib . I dipped my unseasoned rib into the sauce . I took it into my mouth and to my by now low expectations it was awful.. Maybe I am wrong for saying this now but to top it all off I had to ask for my Texas toast

Overall the experience was shitty. The only positive thing was the fake ass smile on the waitress' face. Felt like we were the last priority. We asked for a drink menu and about 25 minutes later we had to flag her down in order to get our drinks. My wife ordered a pasta salad for $10 dollars that came with maybe 15 pieces of pasta. My biggest complaint about the experience was just because a young couple with a baby comes in to the restaurant doesn't mean we don't deserve the same treatment as another table.

Cloth napkins are gross. Table tops feel sticky and gross and that's how they all are without table cloths. Welcoming inside was good. The host was nice. Service was very slow. No one was really around. We were there on a slow night too so the lack in service was strange. However, the waitresses were nice. Just expected more for what we paid. Food was great!!... when it came.
