We stayed in the Sunrise Suite, their nicest apartment. Kitchen was well-equipped, it was quiet, and there was a lot of room to spread out. If you have a smallish child, there is a separate little tiny bedroom, that if I was a kid I would have loved. Be aware, this place is old (read vintage) nothing like a new hotel. Right downtown, a block from Seward Brewing, and mostly next door to Seward Alehouse.

Very fun to stay in such a retro hotel. Everything was very clean, the bed is great, and love the claw-foot tub!

Large apartment style room. Full-size kitchen with cooking and serving ware. Clean and Comfortable. Away from the cruise liner and pier traffic. Right in the middle of downtown Seward. Parking is a bit of a hassle being downtown. Highly recommend.

This is a unique place. Probably not a good idea for people with mobility issues with the stairs and claw foot tub. The location is convenient to tourist areas and restaurants.

I totally dug this place. My bride, not so much. We stayed in the Sunrise Suite which is garage sale decorated, but, as I said, I totally dug it. It's really cool-funky. I mean the place is heated with radiators. Haven't seen that since I left Annapolis, Maryland in 1956 when I was six. Ultra centrally located. If you want to drink and not drive, this place is for you. And the continuum of bars are from the bottom to pretty close to the top. Plus the SeaLife Center is just a couple of blocks away. The other rooms on the website do not appear to have the 'charm' of the sunrise suite.

Location was great....easy to walk to shops, restaurants, aquarium and stroll along waterfront trail. We stayed in the Wilderness Suite. Great having a kitchen, nice den area. However, if you plan on anyone sleeping on the futon in the den be aware it is hard a brick. Also double check to make sure linens are in the room for futon....we discovered very late our first frst night there were no linens. Also, as noted by others, it is an old building which we liked, but if you are looking new motel feel, this is not your place.

We stayed in the Sunrise Suite for my son’s 1st birthday weekend and LOVED it. It was affordable and beautiful. I loved the mix between vintage & modern that this historical room had. The location was perfect for us, especially for having to come back to the room for naps. It made the trip so easy and fun! We ordered takeout from the restaurant next door and walked over to get it. We also went to the sea life center which was right down the street! I loved that this room had a play kitchen for our son. The essential oil diffuser with samples was a HUGE bonus. And we were surprised to see that they had a Netflix account to use. We will be staying here every time we visit Seward now! The only thing that we didn’t like was that the fridge had lots of very old food left in it, so we didn’t tip housekeeping. That was an easy fix though and we will be back in the future. 5/5 Stars!

We spent two days here and so enjoyed staying at the Sourdough. It was old, but very well kept, clean and right in the middle of downtown. This unit had everything it advertised plus a kitchen! We'd definitely stay in this comfy place again.

Vintage and clean, but tiny.
Hotel is a vintage building. Room was small but very clean. Bathroom was vintage but water pressure and temp were fine. It took awhile to get into the building and reach our room because we couldn’t get someone to answer the phone and give us the entry code to the building and our room. Picture on website was not an accurate representation of our room. Would not recommend if you have difficulty climbing steps.
