Carmel Country Inn in Carmel

After coming to CCI for over 20 years, and at least 12 during Car Week, my positive reviews still hold. We’ve been seeing the same wonderful people during car week, and have even maintained friendships with many. This year, however, was different. Unfortunately, some regulars were unable to come, and there were a number of new people. My husband and I were appalled by the requests/demands made by these people. I even heard one female ask that Amy remove one of the people who are always there and put her and her husband and 2 other people in their place. Amy, very diplomatically said she sends out emails prior to Car Week, and that she would let them know. Two other women made numerous requests - nail and hair appointments and Jackie filled them all without so much as a thank you. Sharon served them breakfast, treats, and afternoon snacks, again, not a kind word. Entitled? We love this Inn so much.

We loved staying here, rooms are spacious and comfortable. It is a sanctuary next to the Main Street in Carmel, butbehats best of all here is the people. It’s like having a home in Carmel.

We wanted to get away for 4 days and picked the perfect place for us to stay and to discover Carmel for the first time. Carmel Country Inn was in walking distance to everything. The staff treated us like family. They served a light breakfast but we opted to go out each morning. The inn provided fresh backed cookies and tons of to go snacks daily. Really appreciated the snacks. We stayed in the room shown on the picture l. The picture is nicer than in real life. There were no flowers hanging outside our open windows and the room was a bit older than expected but we were comfortable.

A beautiful and quiet country hotel that blends in with nature! The hotel has lots of plants and flowers, is easy to find, has convenient parking, is pet-friendly and has waterproof mats and sheets for pets. The room is small, exquisite, comfortable and cozy, and the bathroom is large and well-equipped. The bed is large and comfortable, and the room is very clean and tidy. The hotel has its own parking lot, which is convenient for walking to Carmel Beach and downtown. Free breakfast is provided, which is American breakfast with a wide variety. Coffee, tea and exquisite snacks are always prepared for guests! The staff is warm and thoughtful and provides patient help and travel guides! I came with my elderly mother and my lovely French bulldog, and the hotel was very considerate to arrange a room on the first floor for my elderly mother to enter and exit. Thank you very much! We loved staying here, and I can't wait to recommend it to my friends, and of course, it will be my first choice of hotel to stay in if I come to Carmel again next time.

Carmel Country Inn was perfect. The staff were so friendly. The room was very comfortable and we loved all the amenities. We will be returning for another visit.

Very Quaint and Cozy Bed & Breakfast right in the Main Part of Carmel-By-The-Sea

After 20 years of staying at Carmel Country Inn, we hope to stay many more. It’s important to note that the same wonderful woman , Amy, is still the innkeeper. How many inns, hotels, b &b’s can say that? And then there’s Jackie who takes the reservations and helps us with anything we need. Where to begin? First of all, the location is quiet and beautiful. From the moment we check in, the caring experience begins. Maps and an offer to help us place bags in the room are always part of the scene. Everything is spotless. Let’s talk about breakfast and day long snacks and treats. You’ll be pleased by the variety of foods offered, and, after a day of roaming around Carmel, you can head to the office for some fruit, cookies, or treats. We bring our dog every time we go, and he loves the Inn. And then there are the people we’ve met over the years. Many are long time clients like we are. Won’t stay anywhere else. Nice people. The room is cozy with a fireplace a small refrigerator and a coffee bar. Great bed. It really is like home

This was my first stay at the Inn and it was absolutely lovely! Jacqueline and her staff were warm and inviting from the get-go. We had a two bed, two bath room so my mom and I could have space, yet the living room with the fireplace was a nice spot to have tea and cookies while chatting about our day. The breakfast was super yummy and Jacqueline was a welcoming face in the morning while preparing the delicious quiche for us. The takeaway snacks were great as we spent the day walking around town so we could have a bite and keep moving! There were beach towels and puppy snacks as well. Easy walking to town and far enough away not to hear the cars and all the people walking by. Will definitely return!

Went on a girls trip & from the moment we got there, Amy & the staff took care of our every need. The accommodations were comfortable, roomy & charming. I enjoyed having a refrigerator & microwave in our room. The location was perfect to be able to walk around town. The breakfast was delicious & with plenty of options. They even provided snacks throughout the day, which came in handy when we hiked. I loved everything about this place & I look forward to coming back….i definitely will! Go visit….you won’t be sorry!
