Garner Hotel Topeka West, by IHG in Topeka

Location halfway between vacation and home off I-70

Great location. Close to restaurants. Nice rooms, except first room we checked into smelled like dog. I appreciate pet friendly hotels, but the smell was really strong. And food was left in the fridge. I requested another room and it was better. But the halls smelled kind of funny too. Okay, but would probably stay somewhere else next time.

Motel was nice and staff was slow but friendly. no parking if you check in later in the evening and don't ride a bike. Overall it was over priced. Have stayed at a lot nicer places for 170 a night. Make sure to check your bank account if you give them your card info they may have multiple extra charges pending to your account. My husband and i went over the weekend and for the one night we stayed i had 3 pending charges totaling almost $400 none of which was the amount we actually had paid that night with cash. When i called an asked they had no idea what the charges were for and just seemed to say it was no big deal since they were pending and it was the weekend. They also said after the 3rd time of me calling that sometimes choice hotels has been having issues with cards. Well maybe you should wait until you know your customers have checked in to charge their card and not act like you have no idea why these charges are pending on their cards. Pretty disappointing...
