Reviews
- enjoyable breakfast, a great amount of options, everything was kept fresh.
- staff friendliness.
- Clean rooms and public restrooms.
- speedy maintenance as needed. (One elevator was down for a day or two, but got fixed quickly)
- Well decorated and atmospheric lobby space.
- very close to nice restaurants and downtown activities, assuming you plan to drive, not walk.
Room for improvement:
- air quality seemed exceptionally dry.
- water pressure in bathrooms was extreme (please change the sink faucet aerators in the room bathrooms, they spray water everywhere)
- all linens were overly starchy/stiff (bed coverings and towels)
- Inaccurate thermostats and hot rooms (always read as cooler than the room actually was)
All in all, I see the work that the staff and admin are putting into the place. I imagine the amenities will continue to improve over the next couple of years at the rate they are currently working on things.
First off, not all staff there are bad, there were a couple of exceptional people there, but in large most shouldn't be working there, especially the managers.
It seems like the owner hired a 3rd party wheel of seasonal help to work there when there isn't an event because hotel has=d barely any guests. Do they get the good workers only when an event is happening? Okay, here it goes !
When I was a guest there the front staff person in the office who comes out when a guest has to scream.... they have been so careless with managing crew to help clean the rooms and schedule timely necessary housekeeping. Garbage left in hallways over 2 days. The staff are unwelcoming to guests and just plain unprofessional. Additionally when you ask them a question or bring up a concern they ignore you or make up excuses by raising their tone of voice.
They never once apologized for their mistakes!
The breakfast, NEEDS at least one vegetable dish and just a tiny bit more variety and tiny bit healthier.
Now you can please take this with a grain of salt. Everybody has a different mindset, however to me this kind of service falls very short, it is unacceptable even at the cheapest one star hotels in the middle of nowhere. I rate my experience and grade it with a failing F grade!
Worker was great. Room was clean.
