The reviews had us scared to book this hotel, but it wasn't bad at all. We stayed here in late March of 2026. We had a total of 6 people in our party- my family of 4 and my wife's parents. The 2 bedroom accommodated all of us well. It was clean. It was spacious. It worked out great. There are 2 buildings, the main building at the top of the hill and another down past the main entrance building. We stayed in room 2405, which is in the second building. This second building looks like it might be the newer of the 2. I never saw the inside of the main building. We stayed for a total of 8 days. Location was great! We've traveled quite extensively with our boys. I've seen rooms from VIP Vegas rooms, to ocean front villas, to one bed overnighters. Our room was not bad at all.

Stayed there a couple of years ago under RCI, and thought it was bad, but saw they had been working on it, so tried it again, what a mistake. They left dirty towels in the bathroom, the couch was horrible, couldn’t get out of it, one bed you sank to the floor and the other was sleeping on concrete. Resort “fees” cost as much as a hotel, and 95% of the hotels we normally stay at are nicer!!

I am not a complainer in general. But I feel for the money paid per month and yearly for this membership, any experience should be 5 star! I am sick I have wasted any of the money I work hard for on this!

The location is dirty, old, and in major need of so many changes. The cleanliness of the room was below average. The lien was dirty, the sheets looked like they had not been changed and had stains in them, as well as the towels. All the front desk offered us was to change from one old dusty room to another. Besides the room not being up to standard, the amenities were leaking as well. The fitness room looks like it was designed in a way that doesn't meet the needs of the different types of guests that would stay at the location. It had no useful cardio equipment (one seating bike that was behind a piler). I would never recommend or take my family to this location again. It really put a sour taste on our vacation, and we left two days early.

The pros: $279 exchange fee and the only resort left in inventory so my expectations were low to begin with. The patio area is enjoyable and location is very convenient. The air gets cold and no funky smells. All staff and guests have been extremely nice! The cons: A condo that advertises to sleep 8 (6 with privacy) but only has living room seating for 4, a wobbly dining table for 4, and dishes for 6 with one ice tray. Make that make sense. The furniture is so old, worn, stained, and nasty that I draped a sheet over the 3 person sofa and the armless chair in the living room. It’s like they shopped in the reject section of an antique store to furnish this condo. One of the bedroom lamps was broken, and it took 3 visits to the office over 3 days of time to get a working one. The amenities center remained “closed for a private event” but certainly paid the daily amenity fee anyway. Pop tart crumbs were on the kitchen counter and soda can rings on the coffee table upon check in so my opinion of clean and theirs is quite different.

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and included all we needed to make meals other than the food. Bed was comfortable and the couch in the front room was comfortable to sit and watch tv. The only thing I didn’t like was the steep hill—we walked to a concert .3 mile away and the hill was brutal for a couple in our 70s. But we survived! If we go again, we’ll drive to the front parking lot, then walk to the concert.

They call themselves a Boutique, that’s actually an egregious statement to the word Boutique. Old property in a GREAT location with dated rooms and few amenities.

This was the worst place that I have stayed at. Just a rundown hotel Bed was uncomfortable. One heat air unit did not work.

We were initially concerned about choosing The Retreat a Foxborough based on some of the poor reviews but needed a 2 bedroom on specific dates and this was the only choice. We booked and hoped for the best and were extremely happy that we did. The font desk staff were so helpful and even got us a new coffee pot from the back as we not use pods. Our unit was older but VERY clean and well stocked. We used the workout room, mini golf and walking trails, but the temp was too cold to use the outdoor pool. When ever we needed new towels, soap, trash bags,, etc we just went to the laundry room and were helped immediately. I would have liked a better view from our unit but there were several areas where a beautiful view was available. The resort was off the main area of Branson so traffic in and out of the resort was easy, and we were never more than 10 minutes away from any of the attracttios that we were interested in. We definitely recommend taking a chance on Foxborough.
