Bal Harbour Hotels in Wildwood Crest

If you want the oceanfront, the view and a good-sized room, this is the place. Focus on what you're purchasing, which is location, location, location on the beach. If you're family with children, you want to stay in the Wildwood Crest--not Wildwood itself which is more for the partying crowd. This hotel is nicely in the Crest. If you read the other reviews some admittedly might call it dated and yes, you're getting the basics so bring your own beach towels, amenities, special shampoos, toothbrush, hair dryer, etc.--again, focus, you're booking oceanfront and a good-sized room. It has a nice-sized pool deck with two pools and what I'll call small wading pools. Yes, it has a restaurant. If you want the best views, look for oceanfront rooms. If you want the next best view, go for Oceanview.

My criteria for a room at the beach is clean, comfortable, and oceanfront. Bal Harbour met that criteria. Yes, the room is a little outdated (although the flooring looks newer). The kitchenette has seen better days and I couldn't get a pot of water to fully boil no matter what burner I used, but it served our needs. The bathroom was outdated but clean and the shower curtain looked newer without any mildew or stains. The beds were comfortable with clean sheets although the pillows were thin and not to our liking. Our room was on the north side and it was quiet. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean. The pools and pool area were incredible with direct access to the beach. The staff were friendly and housekeeping was in daily to remove trash and provide fresh towels. On the third day of our stay, housekeeping changed the bed linens. If you want to spend a few hundred dollars per night for a more updated oceanfront hotel then do so. But, if you are looking for a budget friendly, clean, oceanfront hotel, then you'll want to stay at the Bal Harbour. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning to the Bal Harbour with extended family on our next trip to Wildwood.

We just came back from a three day vacation here and I’m so glad I did not let the scare me away. The two gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, we stayed in the Yankee clipper room facing the pool. I definitely recommend spending the extra money for for this room. The view was amazing, the room was clean and spacious for four adults, my mother and my two adult daughters and myself. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean. Yes it could use an update but for the price we paid and it’s an ocean hotel, It was definitely worth it. More than enough space for everything. I love how they had a sink outside of the bathroom, and two huge closets. The gentleman that attended the pool always made sure it was clean, the café next to the pool was very reasonable And good food. The only thing was parking underneath was extremely tight, but then I realized if you go through the parking garage, there’s more parking on the other side of the pool. The balcony guard rail is very low, so that was a little scary. But all in all a great stay and we will definitely be back! I’ve stayed at many different crest hotels in Wildwood For the last 12 years and by far, this one was one of the best.

I had a wonderful experience. Very nice- loved the staff- beach view/ easy access to everywhere. Jitney 1 street over. Perfect vacation! thank you to all the lady's at front desk. Loved my whole experience. Room 506 very nice. I will be back next year!

Another great visit to Bal Harbour and the Crest!! We have been coming since 2011 and I won't stay anywhere else!! Yes the rooms and hallways could stand to be updated, but I'm never expecting luxury when I visit. The linens definitely need updating though. We had a leak from the ceiling near the bathroom,but it wasn't anything worth complaining about. We absolutely love staying here and will continue to visit every year!
